Trying to contrast the old wooden rollercoaster, with the Big One on Blackpool's pleasure beach, I think they put each other in scale.

Well done.  I am not a fan of roller coasters, but I do enjoy your picture.  The difference in size is dizzying!

How interesting to put the two in juxtaposition.  (Even the "small" one would be waaaay too much for me!    )

Well here's a news story concerning that wooden roler coaster, and I don't think you would get me on one of them either.

Two cars on the Big Dipper on Blackpool's South Shore crashed together and came to rest 20 feet off the ground.

A number of passengers on the ride suffered superficial injuries, whiplash, broken bones and back injuries.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said about 32 people were evacuated from the ride using assorted stretchers, spine boards and neck collars, and brought to safety using a specialist rope rescue team.

A spokesman for the service said the 32 "walking wounded" were then ferried to hospital by the ambulance service.

An investigation into what caused the crash is now under way, with the Health and Safety Executive being called in.

That has finished me ever going on one.  Not for me.  Got to admit the picture is a good one.
