Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Every year at the beginning of December Blackburn Cathedral hosts a large firework display, everybody flocks to the cathedral grounds, I went up the multi-story car park and photographed the display from there, a much better view. The view in front of the camera has now been demolished ready for redevelopment.

Twenty seconds at F4, I always use F4 for night shots, then I can bracket round it, a scene like this is about right at twenty seconds, mind you in this case, I open the lens and then cover it with somethingthen remove the cover as a firework goes up and bursts, I allow several bursts covering the lens in between. There's no hard and fast rule to this, just allow a few bursts to go off, not more than six or seven, what you feel happy with. Great tip, if you can get in a place where you are on a level with the bursts even if its a half mile away and a tele lens, its far better than being amongst the crowds craning their necks looking up. I'll post another taken from the moors above Darwen, looking eye level at the firework bursts.
   Experiment, Experiment Experiment.

Thank you. That really helps.  I like to photograph fireworks, as you can tell from my avatar.  :)
