Title: Christmas Lights
Post by: Summicron on November 22, 2007, 02:20:07 PM
We in Britain, have gone from Christ to community, and from Righteousness to political correctness, you see it everywhere, newspapers, local council glossy brochures, its like the propaganda that the Soviet Union fed its citizens, and Christmas, many councils have been trying to get the word Christmas dropped from its seasons greetings, and substitute, words, like winterval, or winterfest instead, but up to yet they have not really had any success, but the trend is to have, the name of Christ removed from everything. Which brings me round to Bolton's Christmas lights, which have two light banners, wishing all Bolton a Happy Christmas, which no one passing the town hall can fail to miss. I've downloaded two pictures from my phone, one of one of the banners, and the other one of one of the two Christmas trees, not such good quality, more a matter of convenience, Michael.

I think the whole world has gone to the political correctedness.  It is a sad commentary on the shape the world is in.  Here in Canada we have tree lighting ceremonies which are really nice, but the emphasis is not on the ral meaning of Christmas.

I happen to love the lights at Christmas, this one is beautiful and if you have more please post them as well.
