Title: Lock And Quay Sunset
Post by: Summicron on July 23, 2008, 07:14:25 PM
I'd just finished photographing the canal boats with the evening sunlight glistening off their hulls and reflected in the canal waters near Chorley, as I came off the towpath, I was confronted with this. A pub called, the Lock and Quay, the sunset was reflected in the inn sign, and the warm sunlight was also lighting up the side of the pub itself, so I juxtaposed the two making sure I focused on the inn sign. What a happy find, as there were still two frames remaining on my film, so the following day the film Kodachrome 64 went off to processing. The transparency looks a little heavy on exposure, if you hold it up to the light, but projects beautifully.

Good work.  It almost looks like there is a fire nearby with that amount of colour reflected.
