I used Program mode on camera-which automatically uses aperture and shutter speed but you can adjust exposure meter to brighten or lighten. I usually use manual exposure but I was feeling a little lazy...I noticed the lone tree a little ways away from where I was standing...

Good job, Juanital. Very dramatic! :)
Juanita, the both "speak" to me. Great job.
Love them both, but especially the one with the tree. Beautiful job!
I agree with Susan.
That makes three of us...very dramatic indeed.
Did you have rough weather the rest of the day at all?
The second one, with the tree, is especially good. I really like the texture of the clouds behind the tree. Nice work.
Very nice. I agree with the others, #2 is really appealing.
We have a consensus... #2 is the winner!

LoL, Thank you Everyone!!!
Both shots are excellent. I equally like them.
I am always mystified by sunrise and sunset.
There is something very powerful about them.
