I stood high on the cliffs above the Snake River for this shot of the Swan Falls Dam Powerhouse. I'll have to post one of the view in the daytime. I was zoomed in for this shot with my 75-300mm lens.(https://www.christianphotographers.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10682/normal_Swan-Falls-%40-night_for-web.jpg)
An interesting composition and it's well exposed. The foreground hill (or whatever) is a little bit disturbing to the eye, but not enough to detract from the overall image. Nicely done.
I agree with you about the dirt mound. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it out of the shot and still be taking it from a legal and safe spot. Thanks for the comment. :)
The lighting is really attractive. I also like the lines, shadows, and detail of the buildings Too bad you couldn't fly or something. You could have gotten a much better shot. ;D
I like the lighting and the blue llok of the roof tops. It is a great shot minus the dirt pile.
Thanks guys, and gals :)
Too bad about that dirt pile and that I cannot fly. That's probably why this shot only got a fourth place ribbon in our fair.
I still just love all the different colors from the different types of light. That's really how it looks. Blue roofs and all. :)
I was quite impressed when I saw this shot in the Gallery. I was amazed at the colours and light in it.
Wonderful!
Dirt pile or not this is a good photograph.
How many would even think to take a picture of some dirty building ina hole at night? Good eye in what you wanted to show with the lights and building.
The good thing about taking then reviewing these kind of pictures is that they make you think about what you are doing the next time out.
I alsways carry a flashgun and cable everywhere I go just in case I need a little illumination....
Might I ask what your exposure time was?
Thanks for the comments, mrlucas. :)
The exposure was 30sec.
Well, congratulations, Kathleen, on getting a 4th. I missed that the first time I came to this topic.
Great work!
I love the way your eye works, I would have never thought of taking a picture like this.
God has given you a gift, Keep using it!
