Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Here's another in focus, out of focus illumination abstraction, the wind must have been still that night as the lights aren't showing any movement, which reminds me, the illuminations are back on for this season, be nice to get there.

JudyB

Interesting shot.  I assume this is double or triple exposure???  I wish I had the equipment and knowledge to do this type of picture.  Way to go!

Summicron

Simple Judy, you just need a manual film SLR camera a tripod and maybe an 85 or 100mm lens. take the first shot in focus, then take up the slack with the rewind crank, gently, then press and hold down the film release button, keep holding the rewind crank and the film realease button as you wind on the film advance leaver, the trick is not to allow the film to move backwards or forwards, whilst you recock the shutter, thats why you have to do all these three actions simultaneously. This technique works beautifully on flowers, but you must halve the exposure for each shot, i.e. one stop underexposed on both the in focus and the out of focus shots. Oh I forgot defocus the lens for the second exposure, there you are nothing to it.

My dad has an SLR camera. I should ask him if I can buy some film and use it. I've never used a film camera before.

Do have a go you'll probably enjoy the experience so much, it will become adictive. Is it a modern SLR, with auto programmes, if so there may well be double exposure facilities on it, saves a lot of effort.

ScottyBoy

I don't know how new it is. I'll have to look.
