Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Cats will always find somewhere comfy to park themselves whatever the weather, and a fencepost has proven a handy perch for this ginger cat, and a handy spot for the photographer. Not as sharp as I would like as I was trying to balance a 200mm lens on a narrow window opening, still I like the warm colours of the cat set against the greys of the snowy shed roofs.

Cool pictures, Summicron. I also like the way the colors of the cat stick out against the dark background.
Oh, and thanks for the advice on my picture. (Toast). :D

JudyB

Yes I echoe what both you and scotty have said!  Good work.

Who owns the cat?

Summicron

Someone in the neighbourhood, they're very small cats, fully grown but they look like kittens, there's a whole gang of them, I think they're a litter, always on some shed roof or fence, trying to catch birds.

Oh what nice colouring on that cat.  Even if it isn't more comfy, they'll sit on something.  I always had to giggle when the cat we had when I was little would sit on a piece of paper on the floor...even if it was just the size of a TP square...it had to be better than sitting on the bare floor.

I wouldn't ever want a long haired cat...furballs YUCK!!!  I would like a kitty though.  Pete says we've reached our body quotient in our house though and if we get another one in, someone else has to go.      Our feeder fish (now one is about 8 inches long and the other is about 6) are only about 2.5 years old now though and they can live for 20 years or more!  Don't think that if we do a good job with them they'll be the next to go.  We've got 2 of the goldfish that look like they waddle when they swim  http://www.flickr.com/photos/25887584@N06/2504920298/  and they are doing rather well too.  Our rescue dog IS 14 and Gordon Setters generally only live to be 9 or 10, but the only real problem she has is that she's blind, and can't smell well so you have to make sure she bumps into the treat you are holding out to her.  Our beagle will probably be ornery enough to live another 10 years to the ripe old age of 20 (I know of one that lived to 23 actually!!!) and will die happy, up on the table stealing food from someone.  So, if I get a cat it will probably have to be Pete that goes.  Guess I'll be catless till we manage to get a farm.

That cat looks like one we used to have that we called fatso. He was a great cat, but he was far from being small! He was named fatso for a reason.

It's kind of funny... My wife and I named our cats Samson, Goliath and Ferbie (fatso). The small sounding one (Ferbie) ended up being the biggest of them. I'm guessing about twice their size.
