The little 'blind bunny' fell asleep in Amanda's arms after a long walk on her leash. Cinnabun is happy, even tho' unable to see.

Amanda is feeling very sad as that little bunny is going to have to be put to sleep. She has developed some problems and is no longer doing well.
Sure can hurt to give one's heart to a pet!

The only pets I know of that live almost as long as humans are parrots and other similar birds. And, sadly, so many people get tired of them and give them away; most have several owners during their lifetimes.
