Title: Is Jesus Lord of Your Life
Post by: Fotobirder on December 17, 2011, 01:18:27 PM
ARE YOU SAVED?
[attachimg=1]

I ask this question because of my Testimony. When I was 13 years old, I walked the isle and said a prayer and thought I was saved. But my life didn't change. It wasn't until I was 27 years old when my life was totally messed up with Alcohol and gambling that the LORD actually spoke to me. It may not have been audible but I understood that I wasn't saved. I'm afraid my story might be the same one that a lot of people have now. The LORD showed me one verse of Scripture that explains everything. It's Romans chapter 10 verse 9. "If thou shall confess with thou mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved. I had said a prayer and thought I was saved. But according to this verse, I wasn't saved because I hadn't Surrendered my life to Jesus as LORD. If Jesus is truly Lord of your life, think how easy it would be for for you to tithe and give. I'll close by saying "If it's so hard for us to give the 10% that is already His." How much harder is it for us to give him 100%. Of course, we can't do it. We have to ask him to do it through us and in us.

I didn't know where to put this. In no way is this meant to imply that anyone on this website is Lost. It's only General in Nature.

Have a blessed day

Steve, At the age of 13 I gave my heart to the Lord...... I made many mistakes along the way, and it takes a day to day commitment, even after 54 years, however He has kept His eye on me and I know He deserves all my praise.

Thanks Ruth for your reply. I just want to make sure nobody else does what I did.I haven't been able to share in a while. But Pray for me that I'll get well enough to go to our Gwinnett County Justice and Administration and Share the Gospel.

Many teens give their heart to the Lord.  There is a verse that says Train up a child and when he is old..... We don't know how old is old, but that is the promise given.  Therefore it stands to reason that there will be a period they will depart, then come  back to the Lord.  I am rejoicing with the angels that you came back sooner than later.  With some of my children I wonder how old is old!

By the way Beautiful photo.

When I changed to a scripture based church in my 30's I found my salvation.  But then after a few years I began to backslide and after the death of my first husband I really went wild.  Then the Lord brought Gene, who was also saved and backslidden, into my life.  Praise the Lord, we were brought together for both of us to rekindle our commitment to Him.

Thanks for your wonderful Testimonies. And you are correct in saying that you'll have that time and then comeback. Mine was a little different. I left the Church and started calling them Hypocrits. Then, I just lived my Life the way I wanted to. Some of my Church Members tried to tell me that I was already saved. But God told me different. If you don't know for sure and there's a doubt,  I will chose what God has told me.  This isn't the Normal Christian Testimony. Like you say, a lot of young Christians, stray from the path and come back Home. But I still wonder how many think they are headed home and have been deceived. I see some older Folks in our Church who are coming to this same conclusion. They were supposedly saved very young but now realize that somethings wrong. That something is that they didn't surrender their lives to Jesus as Lord. It means very little for us who know where on our way Home. But if someone has to think about it. This might help them.

Merry Christmas to two wonderful Christians on this Website
Steve

You remind me of a verse

Many will say Lord Lord and I will say I never knew you...... I'm thankful He knows you and me!
