I received a message and a plea for prayer for a 9 year old girl who it is thought to have had a stroke.  This is a complication of portweinsteins disease. This is a condition that causes various side effects.  We are unsure of her condition at this time.  Please pray for the family at this time as well.

Judy, I am praying for this child and her family, that our Blessed Lord will uphold and strengthen them through this crisis and give them the wonderful peace that only He can give.

I also say amen to Jeanne's prayer.  I have never heard of this disease.

It wound up being a seizure that she had...not a stroke.  The family says thank you for praying.

The disease is marked by a port wine stain down the side of her face and body.

Here is an update.

There are lesions inside her skull that put pressure on her brain.  This is the cause of the seizure.  The redness of the "portwine" is inside her mouth and nose which is an indication that her blood vessels are effected.  Also one of her kidneys are failing.   

There is a pediatrician who has knowledge of this condition so she is taking on the case.   

They moved from one community to another and their doctor in the first community dumped them,  as a result the child has had no medical followup because they couldn't get another doctor.

Please continue to pray for this little girl.

Judy, thanks for the update.  The actual diagnosis is just as scary as the original thought that she had a stroke.  What a difficult time this is for her and for her family.  I pray again that the Lord will give His unfailing strength and His unfathomable peace to them all.

Judy, as we all know, it's not about having all the details just exactly right.  It's about holding the general situation before our Father, Who does know all the details.
