Hi, today our two goats Mr Bingly and Mr Darcy were maulled by our neighbors dogs, Bingly was dead when we found him and Darcy had to be put to sleep due to the extensive damage. The Rotweilers have killed before however the owner got out of having them destroyed as she works for the local council and pulled some strings. I know the dogs will be back again however my hands are tied, I am unable to defend the rest of my animals as these dogs are dangerous and we have laws here not allowing us to use firearms on our rural/residential property.
I'm in quite a bit of pain due to my recent dental procedure and really feel very helpless. Please join me in prayer that God will intervene with these dogs before any animals humans get hurt.
I am very sorry to hear about your losses. We own a lovely border collie, and my brother is a dog trainer in Louisiana. We are no fans of Rotties, and even in his little rural town, they are not allowed, along with Pit Bull Terriers.
If I had some good advice, I would give it. I wonder if a call to the local newspaper or TV news channel might be an option.
I am praying.
In His Grip,
Kevin
I am also praying, I have owned Rotties and currently have a Border Collie mix and a Pit mix. I only had a problem with my Rotts fighting with each other but they left my other dogs alone.
I feel so sorry for your loss and your pain. Like Kevin said maybe a call to the local newspaper Or TV station would help.
Thankyou for your kindness during this difficult time. My husband, daughter and I will be picking up our two new LGDs (livestock goat guardians) on Saturday, we will purchase two adult dairy does and have them train our two pups to guard and patrol our property. I am so very grieved to lose our two goat boys but my husband has helped me to show Christs light to the owners of these dogs. It seems that it is now likely to have been the neighbours two cattle dogs, they tried attacking my husband, myself and our dog on our property a couple of days after my goats were killed, turns out they have made a few attacks on other animals around us. Please be in prayer that God will intervene before someone or something gets badly hurt or worse, killed. Blessings, Donna.
Donna,
I think your purchase of these LGDs just might be one way that God is answering your prayers! My friend in Idaho has 2 LGDs protecting his alpaca herd. Wonderful dogs!
I hope it works out for you.
Hi Donna,
I also am sorry to hear of your loss. Lest we remember that animals take on a personality and they become more than livestock, they become members of the family. God cares about every aspect and event in our lives, his justice will prevail however.
I do somewhat agree with Kevin in contacting the media, you may also check with an attorney , it seems to me being a somewhat residential area that there must be some kind of lae on the books about keeping dogs on lease's, or in a kennel, this may be a thought of pursuit....But we will keep you and the family in prayer.

Donna, I'm so sorry about this.
Thank You, Father, that we know You are in control of dogs, humans, and all. I pray You will bring justice and comfort to Donna. And, Lord, make it obvious that You are the Lord.
