On Monday January 17, I was informed that after almost 12 years on the job, my services were no longer required. I won't go into further details, however, this does leave me with the need to find other full-time employment. I was given a small severence package that will help to tide me over, and I do still have a part-time position that will also help a little, but I would appreciate your prayers that the right full-time position for me will become available.
I have had one nibble at my resume, but I am turning it down, as it is just not the right one for me at this time.
Hi Sue!
Praying that the right position will be coming your way and that you will know it because it will
be such an obvious blessing from God it will knock your socks off! I know this because it has
happened to me many times before!
Also praying for patience as you wait for God to bring this to you.
In Christ
Zenobia
And I heartily amen to Zenobia's prayer. Thanks for giving us the privilege of praying for you, Sue.
I also say Amen to Zeeber's prayer. You must be needed somewhere other than where you have been working.
Sue - I will be praying too!
Me too, Sue!
Thanks for bringing your prayer request here, Sue. I'm sorry that this has happened at this time in your life but let's pray that something will come up quickly for you.
God bless you, Sue.
Sue, I was victim to the same thing after 12 years' employment.
This is such a difficult time - I have trouble verbalizing how I felt and where my self esteem was for quite a while.
Yet, I told God - and meant every word I said - that I was fully trusting in Him and would walk through any door opened in faith believing He was (and still is) in control. Too many times during the period of unemployment did just enough money come in to keep me barely afloat - too many times did food be provided just at the time I needed it most - for to feel any way other than that through it all, HE WAS IN CONTROL.
---
But now the Lord who created you, O Israel, says, "Don't be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up ... the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, your Savior, the Holy One of Israel.
--Isaiah 43: 1-3

He is in control, Sue, and we love you and are lifting you in prayer to our Father.
Ruth Ann
Thank you.
Sue I am praying for you too. I say amen to Zeebers prayer and also to the testimony that Ruth Ann has shared here.
"God will provide your every need according to His riches in Christ Jesus" He tells us not wo worry about where were will sleep or what we will eat, or wear. Put all you trust in Him Sue. We are holding you up before the throne.
What a wonderful verse Ruth Ann posted, Sue.
I'm sorry that this has happened.
These words of encouragement from everyone are so uplifting, and I have come back to re-read them.
Ruth Ann, I was crying by the time I had gotten to the end of your reply the first time, and now that I have read it again, I know that with faith I will get through this.
Thank you Everyone seems so inadequate, but right now, is all I can say.
I have had several phone calls in response to my resumes, but not any interviews. I had a call first thing this morning, and I have an interview on Thursday morning.
It was becoming difficult to stay positive when all I had was a minimum wage part-time job and no call backs on my resumes. Then within a 3 week period, I've had 4 phone calls, and the one resulting interview. My confidence is coming up a bit again.
I will continue in prayer for you Sue. I pray you will have great favor withthe employer and that you will get the job you most desire.
Sue: any news yet on a job?
Oh Lord of ALL earthly events - I pray You'll just overwhelm Sue with Your grace and mercy. I pray that the exact right employment will come quickly and will move her to melt in thankfulness and joy! Through our Lord Jesus.
I now have a second interview for tomorrow afternoon, and I only faxed my resume yesterday.
Thank you Al, Marilyn and Judy.
Still praying for you Sue! I believe that God gives us His very best and the very best is on its way to you!
The first interview scheduled for today was cancelled via an 8:30 am phone call by the prospective employer. They had filled the position.
My second interview went well, and hopefully I will hear from her tomorrow and will start on Monday.
Sue I know I told you this before but I really like your new photo, you are a very nice looking woman. What kind of job are you applying for?
Sue: You have so much support from the CP group - my good wishes for you as well.
Carol
Marilyn, thank you for the compliment. I am applying for office work.....reception, typist, data entry or accounting.
Carol, thank you for the support. It is really nice to know that the prayers are there for me.
Thinking of you today, Sue.
Love
Pat
Thanks Pat.
I have finally obtained full-time employment and started work today right after the interview.
Hallelujah.!!
Awesome!!! Praise the LORD!
Thank you. It is a wonderful feeling.
