Title: Friendship Lost
Post by: shutterbugmom on January 25, 2008, 01:17:52 PM
Dear friends,

I won't go into the details, but I've had some friends stab me (and our family) in the back (personally and professionally) and as of yesterday the "friendship" is now over.  They are not Christians, but we were trying to work with them and befriend them as best we could, but it is clear they are blind to the Truth and possibly not reachable.  Please keep our family and theirs in your prayers as we all deal with the fall-out.  We are very sad about this and wish the outcome could have been much different.  Our kids were friends as well.

Blessings, Kathleen

I'm so sorry!  It almost feels like a failure when you lose someone you were trying to reach.  We have to remind ourselves that they are making their own decisions, and they are choosing to turn their backs to the truth.  Turn the other cheek doesn't mean become a doormat.  I hope they end up coming around and waking up.  You have my prayers.

Sorry to hear about this Kathleen.  There is always a risk of being hurt in any friendship, but it is never easy when we actually do get hurt. :'(

A book that has helped me personally, and when counseling others is "Bold Love".  Please consider getting and reading it through.

And I am praying.
