Title: Horse Ministry
Post by: BarbGordon on April 27, 2010, 11:26:21 AM
I have owned a portrait photography studio for over 17 years, a recent breast cancer survivor so I started http://www.PortraitsAndStories.com to tell the story of survivors and all of my subjects so far have been Christians too!

I started a photo coaching site http://www.BarbGordonPhotoCoach.com to increase my revenue so I could cut back on the studio work (by moving my studio to my home) and begin a horse ministry to go along with my cancer survivor website and speaking I do. I am beginning the long, challenging process of selling my retail building.

As I am learning to ride, care for, and start a non-profit organization, I have found myself drawn to a very expensive Gypsy Varner horse that is so beautiful, docile and would be a great "face" for the ministry!  :)

Any feedback or thoughts come to mind?
Thanks, Barb

PS. My coach newsletter if free if anyone is interested in it, please feel free!

Good work on keeping going.  We would love to see a picture of "your" horse.  Perhaps this is a new beginning for you and the horse.  Also I know there are many cancer survivor children who would receive benefit from a horse ministry like yours.  There may be state/provincial/federal funding you could get for this endeavor.  Perhaps more as a non profit.

God bless you as you carry on.  Let God lead, and follow.  too often I have seen people take the lead and walk a different way than where God was going to lead them.

I will be praying for you.

Barb, you certainly are a busy lady with your many projects.  Like Judy, I pray you'll see and follow the Lord's leading in your life.

I'd love to see a picture of your horse, too!   :D

Yes, Barb, I pray that you will be guided by the Heavenly Father as you strive to do as He has planned for you.  I'm so happy to see you going on after fighting this dreadful disease.

God bless you.
