Title: Job Search
Post by: PrmseKpr on October 06, 2009, 11:09:24 PM
I realize it has been quite a while since I have posted.  Life is busy. :)  I belong to a lot of forums and I just don't get to visit them all.

Well....

The company I work for is moving the group (not the entire company, just the "Customer Support Group") to Kentucky.  They are not offering everyone the option of relocating.  Those that are not relocating will be laid off in March 2010.  I am one of those that will be laid off.

The good news is, that I have until March 2010. :)

This is the second time in less than a year that I have been laid off.  I just started working for this company in January (after being laid off from my last job).

I am actively looking for full-time, direct-hire positions.  I am willing to relocate.  We would like to stay east of the Mississippi River, but we are also open to Missouri.

We are open to the following areas:

VA, WV, OH, PA, KY, IN, NC, SC, GA, MO

I guess it would help if I mention what it is that I am looking for.

I have worked in IT for over 15 years, mostly Technical Support.  I have also worked four years in InfoSec.  I know my way around computers and the Internet.  If anyone knows of anything or can get me in touch with recruiters or other employment professionals, please let me know.

Oh Father, I pray You'll move powerfully in Neal's life to contact exactly the right people who have a position for him.  Oh move him to contact that right person soon, I pray, and move them to listen favorably through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Neal, I will add you to my prayer journal.  Our oldest daughter is struggling with finding a new job and it is a daily prayer, I will add you as well.

I notice you do not list Florida. Is that not an option?  I mention it because I know the Florida Legislature frequently has listings for IT.  I am not a computer person so do not know if the jobs are in your field.

Grace and peace,

Becky

Neal,
I am sending up prayers for your job search.  It is rough these days, I know.  But keep looking, and keep trusting in Him, that He will help you find not only a job, but a great one!

Wow... I haven't posted since November!

I'm still looking.  I haven't had a lot of response, but I know that God has something for us!

We have been praying and God has put Tennessee on my heart.  I don't know for sure if this is what God wants, but we would be okay with going if that's what God wants for us.  We are also open to North Carolina (Charlotte, Cary, Raleigh-Durham).

Thank you :)
Neal

Neal, I was just wondering the other day how you were doing.  It's so awful that you don't have full time work yet but I pray that the Lord will show you His plan for your life soon.
