Next weeek I have to start another 6 weeks of traction twice a week and They are also ordering a portable traction unit for me to have at home. It will be mine to keep.
I have degenerative disk disease in C6 and C7 of my cervical spine and the vertabrae are pinching the nerves causing severe pain in my neck and shoulder. This has been going on for a few years. I had 4 weeks of Traction and just as I was starting to get better the treatments stopped, so here we go again. I am so grateful that I will have the portable traction unit at home.
Marilyn~This is a great step toward the answer to the pain you have been putting up with for so long. Complete healing would be the ultimate goal.
Thank you Jane yes it would be a great relief to me to have the pain completly gone forever.God will take care of that one way or the other. Amen?
The home unit will be a big help. A friend asked me today "Marilyn why are you still working?" I can draw my SSI but I am not ready for that yet have some bills to get paid off before I quit work, Although that has been on mind more than ever lately.

O am going twice a week for 45 minutes of traction and exercise. They will be ordering me a Home Traction unit.

Judy SSI stands for Supplemental Security Income. The hat: I purchased it at K-mart for $7.99 I didn't crochet it but I guess I could.

I have been pain free since last Thursday's treatment. The PT office called me Friday to tell me that my equipment has been ordered. Don't know when it will be here though. I have another treatment tomorrow, I am also doing some excersise with the Theraband as well.
That is good news Marilyn. Hopefully the treatments will continue to help and your appointment dates will be reduced in number per month.
My Home equipment should be here by the end of the week. Then when pain does hit me I don't have to wait to go for therapy I cnan do it at home any time day or night.
