Title: My daughter-in-law in Arizona
Post by: Jeanne Lee on October 30, 2016, 07:46:52 PM
I just received a phone call from my son in Phoenix with the news that his wife, Irene, has a recurrence of cancer after 7 or 8 "clean" years.  A "mass" has been found in her pancreas and something in her liver.  A biopsy confirmed cancer but more information is not available yet as to the kind and potential treatment.  They will know more later this week.

So please keep Irene, as well as my son Billy and the rest of the family in your prayers.  This is the grandmother of the two year old twin boys in Arizona.

I'm so sorry that you received this news but we do have a powerful God!  I will be praying in the coming days for her and Billy.

God bless you too, Jeanne.

I'm here in AZ.....  I certainly will hold your daughter-in-law in prayer.....as well as your son, Billy!  I faced cancer just shy of 1 year now....and I am certain
that it was prayer that brought me through the ordeal!  The Lord is good....the Lord is kind....and I know HIS gentle hand will be on her shoulder!!!!!

Jeanne, I have read of the Prayer concerns for your daughter-in-law.  It seems some battles have to be fought again and again.  I will keep Irene, your son Billy, you and your families in my prayers.

Please keep those prayers going.

Irene is doing very poorly.  She has had a severe reaction to the chemo, to the extent that they have had to give her transfusions and halt the treatments for a few days.

And please include my other daughter-in-law, Karen.  Both of these ladies were originally diagnosed with cancer within a month of each other and both were declared cancer-free, also within about a month of each other.  They have become very close to each other.  This news about Irene is proving especially upsetting to Karen.

She suffers no more.   Irene passed into the loving, pain free arms of Jesus at about 4 a.m. Phoenix time.

Jeanne, my heart weeps with yours at the loss of this lovely woman.  At the same time, I know you and the family will, one day, be able to rejoice that she is free of pain and suffering and forever rejoicing in heaven.  I pray that you, and all concerned, will find peace in the loving arms of Jesus as you go through this time of separation.
