I just got a call from my daughter with more bad news for our family. 

My oldest son asked her to call me because he's having trouble talking about it.  His wife, Karen, has been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of lung cancer. 

So I'm asking for prayers for Karen, of course, and also for Ken as he deals with this.

Oh Dear Jeanne.  Yes I am praying ....for you....for our Lord's peace to enfold the entire family.

I don't know, of course, what God's perfect will is, but I pray He'll give you all peace in realizing that He's in control.  And, especially, I pray He'll bring special blessing out of even these hard things.  All through the agency of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Most Gracious Father, I bring Karen  into your holy presence and deposit her into your charge. I pray you will lay your hands upon her and that you will send your healing power and  peace throughout her body. I pray for peace and serenity to reign in her mind and body as your perfect will is done. I also pray for Ken and for Jeanne, give them a peace in knowing that Karen is in your charge now and that it is all up to you. In Jesus Name Amen

Father, I lift up Karen and Ken to you, we know you are our mighty and awesome healer.  Please put your healing touch upon her and give them your peace that surpasses all understanding.  Please keep her free from pain, Father, and comfort them.  Give Jeannie, Karen and Ken your strength, Father.  In Jesus' Name Amen.
