Connie is one of my supervisors at the Community College.
She had to go yesterday and have a CT (I think) scan on her lungs, as they had found a mass, and it didn't look good. She had to go get the reports today.
I haven't talked to her, but I did talk to another coworker, and she said that doctor's are wanting to do more tests, but it doesn't look good. :-[
So, if you could say a prayer for her and her family, I am sure she would appreciate it.
I will certainly be praying for your friend Connie. This is nothing impossible for God. He is the Great physician, so all things are possible with Him. May Jehovah Ropha answer our prayers for her.
KARMA~You can count on my prayers, as well. May the God of all PEACE comfort each of you and especially Connie, as this testing goes on.
Karma, do you have a report on Connie?
Ruth Ann
I talked to Connie today at work.
She had a biopsy at the end of last week (during which, her lung deflated. she said that didn't hurt as bad as the biopsy did). The doctors are about 95% certain it is cancer, but the tests here were inconclusive (as to the speed of the spreading, etc.) so they sent it to the Mayo Clinic.
I don't know alot about these kinds of situations, but it doesn't sound too good to me.
thanks for praying
Still praying Karma.
I will be praying to Karma
Karma... I am praying for Connie too!!
I will be praying for Connie and her family. My husband had the same type of situation and I can sympathize. I pray that Connie's test results will also give her a plan of healing. Please keep us informed.
My prayers are with you and with Connie and her family. May God's Hand be evident and be the Guide for all medical personnel as they treat her.
Ruth Ann
Thanks for praying, and please continue.
I talked to her for a few minutes yesterday (Monday). She had gone to Chapel Hill to get a second (and third) opinion about treatment options. Apparently, with every test she has, the diagnosis and prognosis gets worse. :(
She starts chemo within the week.
Oh yea, they also found a tumor in the brain, but the doctor's were able to "zap" it and they are pretty sure they got it all. They're still not sure how many lymph nodes are affected.
I'm so sorry about this, Karma... I'll be remembering Connie in my prayers.
KARMA~I understand the anxiety that comes with the uncertainty. I am still praying for Connie, as well as all who are affected by her situation.
Is there any news on Connie?
Marilyn, just scroll up to message #10 as Karmat posted yesterday with an update.
Father, I pray You'll give the doctors wonderful insight and wisdom for Connie. I also pray, Father, that You'll use this powerfully to draw Connie to Yourself - or closer to Yourself.
I din't realize that was a new update. Praying for connie.
No problem, Marilyn.
She started chemo today (Wednesday, Aug. 10)
she didn't do too well with her first treatment. :(
Sorry to hear that, Karma .. :(
Well, it has been a long hard year, but Connie's battle ended last night, August 21st, about 8:30 pm. She slipped into unconciousness yesterday, and went quietly last night. Please continue to pray for her family and friends.
Thanks.
:(
My condolences. May Connie's friends and family seek solice in the comfort of the Lord.
Thank you Karma for this infomation I will be praying for her family.
Karmat, sorry to read of the lose of your friend. Hopefully she is with the Lord now and is now out of pain.
