I have only posted in CP a few times, but tonight I have a prayer request for my grandson, Michael. He is in basic training in the Army and is now home on medical leave. My prayers are for his emotional and mental well being. He is going through a difficult time. I also would like you to pray for my daughter, Lisa. She has asked for prayers and knows that this is in God's hands, but is still finding it hard to cope.

Aaawww BEVERLY!... I so understand what you are <not> saying here. I have had two grandsons serve time in Iraq ... I know the mental and emotional stress that accompanies the basic training. Bryan is out of the Army now but suffers with PTSD ... I am concerned for him but God knows what is best.
I will be in prayer for your Michael ... and for Lisa. God knows ... but we grandmothers still carry the load.
Love you, Jane
I will pray for Micheal also.
Beverly, I can understand your concern as we also have a grandson in basic training. I will be praying for Michael.
Father, I pray for Michael. I pray You'll specially, mercifully draw Him to Yourself - that You may become the most important One in His life. Oh move him to relate to You, to tell You all his troubles, and to begin completely relying upon You, Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen to Al's prayer for Michael and Beverly, I'm praying for Lisa. Basic training is very hard for the kids, I know and it's very difficult on the families. God bless you, Beverly. Please know that several will be praying for your request.
Beverly, I, too, will pray for him.
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers. I know I haven't given much information, but our Lord knows Michael's needs.
Pat - I appreciate your prayers for Lisa. I talked to her tonight. This is hard on their family.
Jane - I know that you understand what we, as a family, are going through. You also know some of the problems Michael has had in his life.

An update on Michael.........Please continue praying for my grandson.
He has returned to the Army base in Georgia. The reason for his medical leave was stress fractures in his legs from the extensive training they go through.
Michael has asked for prayers that he will pass the Physical Therapy test tomorrow. Apparently the physical rehab is not a good place for him as there is too much "down time" and he needs structured activity to stay on track. It is so important that he doesn't fail in this effort to graduate from basic training. As before, there are many unspoken words but we do need your prayers!
Thank you.

Beverly, I do understand and I am continuing to focus prayers for Michael.
I've dealt with stress fractures in the past - quite painful! Yes, my prayers continue.

Beverly: Please add my name to the list of those who are praying for Michael. I am praying for Lisa too!...and also for YOU, Beverly!!
Just to let you know that Michael passed the physical therapy test and will soon be rejoining a unit. I'm still not sure if this is good news because there is a danger of him doing more damage, but I do know that staying where he was seemed to be a disaster waiting to happen.
Michael told Lisa that he was having pain in his legs right up until the morning of the test. (But then, you all know what prayer can do! :))
Thank you for your continued prayers!

Beverly: I am praying for Michael's well-being of soul and body.
