I usually never do this and I do feel this is kinda selfish. But I feel I must for some reason. I have been at my job for about 13 years now. A new huge company is building a warehouse facitily in my town. I have applied for a job there and had the first of at least three interviews yesterday. It went very well but I am hoping to get a call back for another. Getting this job for me will be a major move but one I want to make. It will probably mean that my wife can quit her job and stay at home and be there more for our kids so it is one I dearly want. So please keep me in your prayers for the next few weeks. I will keep everyone updated on the situation. Thanks to everyone.
James I am praying for you brother.
Rex, please know that I'll be praying for you in the coming days. I pray that whatever is the Lord's will for your life will come about and that you'll be happy to know that it was the Lord's will.
I'm adding you to my list here at my computer.
It is difficult sometimes when there are children in the family to have both parents working and it would be so good if your wife could stay at home. How old are your kids, Rex?
Thanks to everyone........
Kids are 8 and 7.
The wife has never really cared for her job but she has done it because we have needed the money. The day I look foward to is the day I can look at her and say "Quit your job and go find something you enjoy doing while the kids are at school"
To update everyone. I received a call yesterday and have to go Monday to take a test for the company. If I do good then it will be probably one interview then hire. The test Monday is from 9-5. Wish me luck.
I pray your test will be successful. Trust inthe Lord with all your heart and He will direct your paths.
Rex, I just found your prayer request. I'm adding my prayers to Pat's and Marilyn's. God knows the plans he has for you and your family. Your desires are unselfish and wanting your wife to stay at home to be there for the kids is honorable. I pray that our Loving Father will hear your heart and give you great favor with your potential employerrs during the testing and interviewing.
Res, I amen Nita's prayer. I wish you no luck, but I pray our Lord for His grace and mercy!
Amen!
Keep us posted, Rex.
Rex, as we're praying for your job, please thank your wife profoundly for her sacrificial attitude in keeping a job she hasn't enjoyed. And praise God for her!

I will. Also I will inform everyone Monday night how the test went.
Thanks to everyone
Just to update everyone. The test yesterday went well. It was very hard at times but I think overall I done ok. The test went from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. so I was very tired when I was done. They will be calling me within the next few weeks for an interview if they like my results. I have at the very least one more interview and at the most two. Thanks everyone for keeping me in your prayers.
I will keep you in my prayers. I too am looking for full-time work, and know very well how exhausting and stressful it is.
Prayers for both Rex and Sue, to have favor with the people in charge of hiring, and that their transitions into the new jobs will go smoothly; also that the income will be more than enough to meet all your needs.
My prayers for Rex as he considers this new job so that he can be the sole provider and his wife can return to the home to be a full time mom. Also, for Sue as she looks for full-time work.
I, too, am praying for you Rex .. also for Sue. I know the anxiety that can arise when the stress of unemployment looms. God is our ever present help ... and comfort ... and sustaining grace.
Update:
Received a call Friday and now have set up an interview for Thursday August 11 at 1:45 p.m.
Thanks everyone for keeping me in your prayers throughout this whoile long process. Maybe a hire from here or could be one more interview.
:)
Thanks for the update Rex. Keep us informed of the results - we want to keep praying or give thanks with you!
Rex: Good wishes and praying for you! Carol
I'm praying that you get this opportunity Rex.
Just to inform:
The interview I feel went well. There is one more interview before hiring. I was told it could be as late as September before I hear anything only because the people doing the hiringh are in Japan until then. Either way if it happens it happens. Money wise things are looking up because of the substantial raise I received at my current job last week. Thanks to everyone for keeping me in their prayers and I will do the same for each and every one of you.
Rex, nice to see that things are looking up for you on the job front. Congratulations on the raise you received. Those are always appreciated.
Rex~Great news that you received a raise on your current job...I am still believing for that perfect job that God has in store for you ...
Sorry I haven't updated anyone or been around much. I have been busy with the kids starting school and getting them started on their homework and all that.
I received a call yesterday and have another interview scheduled for Tuesday at 3:30 pm
This is the 4th so maybe the last one.
P.S. I love the new look.
Still praying here Rex.
;D
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone for your prayers on this matter. They called yesterday and I have accepted their job offer. It is not enough to allow the wife to quit but it will be a good future for me and I will be home a lot more. Plus a great retirement plan. I start October 31, 2005
Congratulations!
Fantastic news - we wish you the very best!!!
Carol
That is good news, Rex. I hope you will really enjoy your new job.
Praise the Savior, ye who know Him
Who can tell how much we owe Him
Gladly let us render to Him
All we are and have.
Good news, Rex! Enjoy your new job and let Jesus open the way for everything you and your family need! He is our all sufficient Supply! :D
