Please pray for our brothers/sisters and their children in New Orleans and surrounding areas. They are being devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
This is a terrible storm. I will certainly be praying for this situation.
The news just gets sadder and sadder. My prayers to all.
Carol
Oh Lord please help the people who have lost everything including family members. I pray Lord Jesus that your Holy Spirit will comfort those who need to be comforted and I pray for the Salvation for those who do not yet know you as their Lord and Savior. Let you saving grace and precious blood cover everyone in the areas of devastation. I also pray for forgivenss of the nation of America as you have told us to do in your word. "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, seek my face and ask forgiveness of their sins, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land." Our land needs healing, Father and your people need your forgiveness so badly. We are a sinful nation. In the name of Jesus amen.
Father, we do acknowledge our sin, and declare Your righteousness and Your mercy. Lord, draw those who are Christ's back to their Salvation and faith during this trial; And bring those who don't know You into their only Hope. Even in this, our Jesus, be glorified. Use it to draw souls into the Kingdom. And Father.........I pray that our enemy, Your enemy, get no satisfaction in any of this. I pray that what satan has planned for evil, You will turn for good. Lord, Your will be done as it is in heaven. Even so, Lord Jesus, come.....

These people need alot of prayer. They are having to wait to get back to their homes and believe me the wait is no fun. We were flooded 10 years ago in Georgia and we only had to wait 3 days to get back into our home. That was hard enough but these people are going to have to wait probably for weeks.
Dear Father
Please wrap your arms of comfort around them. And I pray that the Christians in that immediate area will wrap their arms around these people and tell them of your love for them. Touch their hearts and guide us as we come together to help them.
I woud like to add my prayers also for those in New Orleans .
Father we cannot imagine what many of these dear folks are going through. The devastation leaves us in awe of the power within your creation. I ask that you give them the strength to lean closer upon you in this time of trial and loss. I pray for those grieving for lost loved ones whose lives will be forever pained.
Thank you Father for those whose lives have been saved through the bravery and unending work of the rescue services. Many of those helping to rescue have no homes of their own , yet still struggle to help others . May they know your blessing and be conscious of those at home and around the world who pray for them. Would that all may realise that the God to whom we pray is one who is also aquainted with suffering yet He is a bringer of Hope and assurance to all who put their trust in him. Please , Almight God ,look upon those who call upon you this day. We ask this in the name above every name , the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
John (A Baker)
Oh, how I pray for these dear people. What sadness!
God, please help something good come of this.
This just breaks my heart. So much suffering and loss. Lord, hold them.
Amen ... my heart is breaking ... :'(
I've just seen the 7pm news report of the scenes from Galviston , New Orleans, and other areas on the Southern seaboard of the USA.I never thought that I'd witness such suffering in a land so sufficient ,or a land with so much. There must be a lesson there somewhere for us all.
We will be remembering those who are in trouble particularly those carried from their hospital beds on to transporter aircraft. We will be giving thanks for those who are puting their lives on the line for their fellow countrymen. I know that you folks in CP will be praying also . I just want you to know that there are many on the other side of the pond who are with you.
God be with you,
John
Thank you John.
Oh Lord Jesus watch over all those who have suffered during this latest hurricane.
Father, even in the midst of devastation, I pray the glorious church, called by Your Name, would rise to take her position in this area.
God, strengthen them who are weary, refresh Your own, Lord, renew commitments of labor in Christ. I guess what I'm asking, Lord, is that in the middle of chaos, You bring victory for the church in these areas. I ask you to call Christians in New Orleans to rise up, to push back the darkness in the land where you've placed them, encourage them in doing right and speaking holiness. You are able, Father. You are able and I pray for a great revival to touch your children.
Move prayer warriors to not grow weary of interceding for pastors, teachers, all who minister the love of Jesus in this area. God, what the devil meant for evil, you can turn to victory for those You love, for those who will enter into Your Kingdom because of these very storms. In the precious Name above all names...lord I ask in Jesus' Name. amen
AMEN to Neta's prayer.
