Title: OK Tom
Post by: Pat on November 20, 2004, 11:20:53 PM

I was on another site where our OK Tom is known as Blackeyedpeas and here's a message I just read...

Blackeyedpeas, is feeling under the weather, with the flu or some other bug. He is feeling pretty puny, and he feels that he will be down for at least a couple of days.

I would ask all of you to say a prayer for him. To get him feeling better soon.

Go in peace with God.

Let's remember Tom in prayer tonight.

Father, I pray You'll specially bless this sickness to Tom. Oh use it, Father, to draw him close to Yourself.  Glorify Yourself, Father, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Father I lay my brother at your feet and ask you to lay you  hand upon him and  releive him of the affliction. Touch him and heal him Lord as only you can do. In Jesus Name Amen

Amen!

I love the way the folks in here gather around to pray one for the other.

Such wonderful brothers and sisters in the Lord on Christian Photographers!

Tom, I will also be remembering you in my prayers and do hope this will be a short-lived illness and that you will soon be back feeling well.

Brothers and Sisters,

Thank you sincerely for your prayers. I am much better and will be able to spend time at a large family gathering tomorrow. This is just one more thing to add to my huge list of things to give thanks for. I really believe that every day should be a day of Thanksgiving to our Lord and Saviour for the treasures we have in HIM. I will definitely cheat on my diet tomorrow.   :D  I can make up for the days without an appetite now.

My daughter and all of my grandchildren will be here tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to a great day in the LORD.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Judy,

Thanks - it was great. My grandson who is almost 16 months old latched onto me and almost didn't let go for the entire time. He gave me uncounted hugs and kisses, and you know how much grandparents love that. Other than that, my list to give thanks for is huge. I'm thinking about many things that we far too often take for granted. I just read a news story about Christians in many parts of the world who are jailed, beaten, tortured, and killed for simply owning a Bible or attending a worship service.

We can read our Bibles and worship anytime we wish in peace and safety. I really don't think that we consider all of the blessings that God has given us. Thanksgiving was a beautiful day in the LORD for us, and I hope that the same is true for all of your families.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Revelation 21:23  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

I've been praying for our brother Tom the last several days as I heard from someone that he's struggling with a lot of pain.

Let's pray for him together.

I'm holding Tom in my prayers.  He seems to have such a sweet, Godly spirit.  May God bless and comfort him and bring him peace and healing.

Brothers and Sisters,

Thank you sincerely for your prayers. The doctor changed my medicine on my last visit, and I'm feeling some better. I think that a good dose of some time with my grandsons in a few days will be the final medicine that I need.   :D

Love In Christ,
Tom

Brothers and Sisters,

I sincerely appreciate your continued prayers. I seem to be on a health roller-coaster. I really don't know where I stand right now, EXCEPT in Jesus.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Sister Pat,

Thank you. I will also continue to pray for you and the sweet Christians here.  I firmly believe that prayer is a large part of our Christian love and fellowship with each other. All of us have needs that only God can fulfill many times in our short journey here. Our joy and strength is in the LORD and how HE works in and through us.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Psalms 28:7  The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
