Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Our pastor John's wife is Jennifer.

Please pray for Jennifer's brother Jeff,  Jeff is in a medically induced coma after having a serious asthma attack. in which his heart stopped and he needed to be revived.  He is scheduled for ctscan in the morning to see if there is any brain activity.  Please pray for a miracle in Jeff's life. Please pray for strength for the family.

Dearest Father in Heaven, I bring Jeff before you holy throne of grace and ask you dear Lord  to lay your healing hands upon him and give Jeff the miracle he needs so that when he awakens he will be in full mental capacity and  full of life. I also ask that you send the Comforter to his family  to revive them as well. Thank you Jesus Amen.

Judy, thank you for bringing this request to us. I, too, will be praying. This request comes very close to me, as I had to stop driving today for a few moments to clear my eyes of the tears caused by a bad asthma attack.

Marilyn, thank you for your prayer.

Thank you everyone I should have more info in the AM.  John's 4 kids are at home alone with church members checking in on them.  The oldest is 18 and the youngest is 14-15.

Update on Jeff

Jenn and I arrived safely in Kingston and went to visit Jeff with her parents and Jenn's brother and his wife.  He is on life support and brain activity is minimal.  The ctscan was not completed because the Dr. felt there wasn't enough activity to warrant one.   We will be meeting with the doctors tomorrow afternoon and will be making decisions on how to proceed.  At present the prognosis is not good. Only a miracle will save his life.  Please pray for us.

Janet

Our God is still a God of miracles, and I am praying for one in this case, Judy.  God bless.

We serve a miracle working God, and I am joining Janet in praying for one in this case.  Of course, we also must be sure to place all our cares in His hands, to do as He wills.  I pray peace and calm assurance for the family as they contemplate these difficult decisions.

Update on Jeff (Wed. October 1)

It was a very long day today.  Tests have shown that the brain damage that Jeff received was too extensive.  He will be taken off Life support tomorrow (the 2nd)  at around 3 pm and the Doctor's believe that he will probably pass away shortly after.

Please pray for continued strength for the family.  It has been a very difficult couple days.

Our daughter Brittany was able to come today and say her goodbyes.  It was good to see her,  her strength and maturity were a wonderful support to the family.

Also, the last conversation Jennifer had with her brother, he had expressed that he had recommitted his life to God.  It has served as a great comfort to us all.

Thanks for all your prayers

John

Update on Jeff (Thursday October 2)

Thanks everyone for praying.  It was another long day.  There were some complications because of Jeff's desire to be an organ donor.  So, he will be taken off Life support tomorrow afternoon.  These delays has been very hard on everyone.  The family will be staying with him to the end,  please pray for strength for us all.

Update Saturday October 4

Jeff was taken off Life support at 4:55 pm.  He was not able to be an organ donor because he did not pass away with in the two hour window.  Jeff went home to be with Jesus at 1:15 am early Saturday morning.

Please continue to pray for the family as we travel home today.  We are very tired.
Thanks for supporting us in prayer

Lets keep them in prayer this coming week and next weekend.  It will be tough.

My heart and prayers go out to Jennifer, John, Brittany, and Jeff's family during this sad time.  It is a comfort to know that Jeff is with the Lord now, but still sad to have him pass away so suddenly.

Our God is an awesome God...and He holds this family in His loving care.
Search me oh God, and know my heart. Teach me and know my anxious thoughts. Look for the hurtful ways in me, and lead me in the way...everlasting.

I feel for the family as keeping a death watch when we know there is no chance of recovery is so tough.  May God wrap his arms around each of the family and let them know he is carrying them through these times when each minute is difficult.  Jeff is in good hands now and the struggle is over.  My condolences certainly go to the family and good friends who have experienced this loss.
