Please pray for Lee Kirkwood...
Many of you will remember Lee from either SeniorNet or this site where he was a member several years ago.
Well, his daughter posted on Facebook not long ago today the following:
This is Lee's daughter Nora, Dad is in the Hospital at Sacred Heart Hospital. He has Pulmonary Fibrosis, you can check American Lung Association for more information. It tells the whole story, his stage of the disease is advanced. I will update with more information as available. Dad knows he is going home soon and he has that peace and so do we! We appreciate your prayers. Thank you!Lee and his daughter Nora

Lord I ask you now to comfort the family and Lee knowing that he will soon be with you in your kingdom In Jesus name amen
Nora, please tell Lee we are praying for him and also for you. The more time that goes by, and the more friends and loved ones who move to the other side, the more homesick I get for heaven! I'm not in a hurry to go, but I do have that same peace Lee has, that when the Lord calls me, I will be going to a much better place. It's wonderful he has that peace about his eternal destiny, and I'm sure he will be missed dearly by family and friends here on this side.
I pray for the Lord's peace and strength for Lee and his family as the time nears for Lee to transfer to his eternal home in the arms of Jesus.
Nora read these to your Dad.
Lee we are all praying. I am specifically praying for your family that they ALL will come to know the Lord.
Praying for Lee!
I am also praying for Lee and for his family.
I'm so sorry to learn of Lee's suffering. I'll be praying for God's loving will in his heart and life and that family and friends will be comforted.

When Paul and I went to Oregon in 2011, Lee and Vivian were so kind to invite us to stay with them.
The next day they drove us around to various lovely places and then took us out to lunch before we continued on our journey.
Here's a photo of Lee and Vivian that day:

Today's post was that Lee was heading home today, Nora asked that there be no phone calls as he will be tired from the journey.

Went to Dad and Vivian's house last night, we made some decisions and and I started to clear out his office to make room for a hospital bed and several other things Dad will need. Mike and the neighbor got the couch out of the room to make space.
He will going home as soon as Vivian can get the hospital bed and the oxygen tanks delivered.
Please continue to be praying for Dad and Vivian, thank you.
Judy, thanks for keeping us in the loop. Prayers continue for Lee and family.
