Hi everyone. You could not have been more proud than I was when I found out my oldest brother Eric had stopped drinking in November of last year. I had been praying for him for soooo long!! We talked on the phone last Friday and it was quite evident he has started drinking again. He openly, and honestly, admitted to it. I will not give up, never ceasing in prayer, in the hope that he will come to an understanding that a faith in God is the only balm, the only comfort, the only source of strength, that he will ever need!!

Please lift Eric up in prayer.

He has been addicted to alcohol since at least 1980, having replaced a long-standing reliance on drugs with the bottle.

I'm adding Eric to my list, Bonnie. It's not an easy road to travel and he needs help, both human and spiritual.

Bonnie, I'm so sorry. I will also be praying for your brother and his addiction to alcohol.

Thank you all. I pray that one day soon Eric will come to understand that a personal faith in Jesus Christ is all he needs to cope with life here on earth.
