My stepson had been having pain in his back and it got so back he had to go to the emergency room.
There is a tumor in or on his lung the size of a softball.
He is now in the VA hospital and although the biospy will not be until Monday they are telling him it looks like small cell cancer.
Please be in prayer with me on this.
Suzanne, that is terrible news concerning your son. I know you are terribly worried. I will certainly be praying for him.
Suzanne - Concentrating prayers in your behalf for you, your stepson, and everyone involved in his diagnosis, treatment and healing.
I just found this request, I am praying Suzanne for your stepson.
Suzanne, please know that we are praying as well!!
Thank you all so much for the prayers going up.
Hopefully today is biospy day, and maybe we will know something for sure, soon.
Oh Father, cancer is such a fearful thing! We fear it, we fear its outcome, we fear the pain, we even fear the medical people, helpful as they are. Oh Father, make Suzanne fully aware of Your wonderful Presence, Your love, and Your mercy. Somehow, Father, bring wondrous good out of even these experiences, both for Suzanne and for her stepson. Through our Lord Jesus Christ.
amen, Al,
I am here in prayers, too.
At times like this, we need others to help us reach our Heavenly Father
in prayers.
This is the perfect place for that.
Love in Christ,
Joyce
Update: Biospy came back this morning.....non small cell cancer.
Please continue to pray with me on this.
Thank you,
Suzanne
Our God is an AWESOME God
He reigns with wisdom, power and love
Our God is an AWESOME GOD!!
Keep us posted, Suzanne ... expecting great news and positive reports....
Update: Friday the doctors came in and talked to him and told him that it was inoperable, because of the location (the tumor is very close to the spine and other vital organs). They plan to do a PET scan next to see if it has spread.
Thank you for all your prayers and please continue to pray.
Suzanne
Susanne, Thank you for the update. I've been praying this moment for him.
Suzanne, I would expect your stepson is scared to pieces. Do hope there will be some appropriate treatment that will get this situation under control.
Thank you all so much for your prayers. I know he is scared too, Larry, I guess he is trying to be brave or put on a brave front right now. They are going to try to take him off of the morphine drip today and try morphine tablets, to see if that will work. He may have to go to Mississippi for radiation treatments as the VA hospital in Little Rock must not have the facalities to treat such an aggressive cancer.
I hope they get the radiation started soon, usually it will shrink the tumor somewhat and help with the pain, or at least that is my understanding, then start the chemo.
oh, dear Suzanne,
Prayers for you stepson, so very difficult to cope and understand at this time.
Know full well that others are helping you in prayers--that is what
is most needed at this time.
Dear Heavenly FAther, let the boy and his family and friends find
the peace, comfort and love that goes beyond human understanding that
only You can provide.
Love in Christ,
Joyce
Suzanne, how devastating! I'll be praying for and with y'all. Do you have an update?
Ruth Ann
Thank you all so much for your continuing prayers,
The lastest update is that they let him come home last Wednesday or Thursday, to be back in Little Rock tomorrow for either another biospy on a lymph node or a consultation. Monday morning his feet had begun to swell, and we were all thinking fluid build up, but his dad drove him to Little Rock late last night and there was a blood clot in his lung, that somehow the doctors had missed before, or missed mentioning to anyone before and the Emergency Room doctor caught it, they gave heparin and are hoping that it will be dissolved. Then maybe they can get the 2nd biospy on that lymph node. That is all I know for now, but I really appreciate everyone's prayers and hope to have more news soon.

PRAISE REPORT!
Saturday:
He developed pneumonia in the good lung after the biopsy.
Sunday:
He had a really bad weekend, they moved him to ICU, put him on a respirator and called in the family, gave him approximately 3 days to live.
Monday: Antiobotics kicked in, biopsy came back negative on the both lymph nodes and they removed the respirator, He prayed with his Uncle for salvation, and was doing A LOT BETTER.
Today: Talked to him on the phone this morning and he had eaten 2 breakfast trays and said he was feeling alot better!
Woo Hoo---Praise the Lord---Hallelujah
Oh Suzanne...thats just wonderful. I wish I could post as enthusiastically as Marilyn has done!!

Thank you all so much,
Suzanne
Prayed.
Oh Father as I bring Suzanne's family before your throne of grace, I ask for peace for them, that peace that only you can give in their time of need. I pray that you will wrap your loving arms around them and comfort them. I pray Father for that peace that passes all understanding in knowing that he will be with you in the heavenly kingdom. If he hasn't already accepted Jesus as his savior I pray that he will. In Jesus name Amen.
Praying here
Praying for you and your family, Suzanne.
Thanks to everyone for all of the prayers...
My stepson went home to be with Jesus yesterday morning.
Thanks, Suzanne, for stopping by with the information. It will be difficult for a while but the knowledge that he is with the Lord now, and free from pain and sickness, will bring you comfort. I pray God's peace to hover over and infill each family member who is grieving at this time.
Suzanne, so sorry to hear of the loss of your stepson. I know this is a very tramatic thing to happen in a family. May God grant you and your family peace.
Oh, I am so sorry. I am glad he is with Jesus, but we can't help but be selfish about those we love and it is hard to let them leave.
Sara
I pray that the peace that surpasses all understanding would comfort you.
