Ruth Ann called me on the phone a little while ago. She fell today and broke her hip. She's being x-rayed to determine any need for surgery. She said to tell y'all because you won't see her in here for a bit.
I will definitely be remembering her in my prayers!
I'm so very sorry to read this. Poor Ruth Ann has been through so much lately. Definitely I'll be praying for her and thanks Al for bringing this to our attention.
I have placed her on our church's prayer chain, I am praying for you Ruth Ann.
I am also in prayer for my friend Ruth Ann ... As Pat mentioned: she has been through so much... but "through" is the operative word and I know our Father will bring her through this in triumph as well. I'm praying for Leslie as well, because this must be quite worrysome for him. God, please keep your hand on them both.
I am also praying for Ruth Ann and for her family. We will miss her presence until she is able to return to us.
Oh, poor Ruth Ann!! Yes, I'll be praying for her.
Dear Ruth Ann, I am so sorry to hear that you fall. Goodness gracious-- Our prayers are with you for a full recovery and that you will soon be dancing in the isles. Bless and keep you dear Ruth Ann. Delphine
Oh Father - amen five times over!
Thank you so much, friends. I appreciate the prayers.
I think sometimes my cell phone (which I use for all long distance calls) makes it hard to understand.
Actually, I broke a bone going from my foot into my ankle. It's on the outside of the foot and the "knob" in the ankle is separated from the straight part of the bone - a clean break.
Thanks to God's mercies, thus far I have not had to have surgery to have the bone pinned. That's really frightening for a diabetic, because of all the potential foot and leg problems that could happen due to an open wound of any kind.
Fortunately all my diabetes readings are great and the surgeon says we have "a chance" of getting the bone to heal without surgery.
This man is a godly man, and prayed just a short prayer with me before he treated me on Thursday.
Love to all,
Ruth Ann
Good report, RUTH ANN. How wonderful to have a godly physician.
Ruth Ann: I want to wish you a full recovery and pray that it is so - Carol
Thank you all SO much for your prayers. Please continue them.
Unfortunately, the news was not so good Thursday. The break has widened and he's very worried that it will not heal. He's applying for a bone stimulator and a scooter or electric wheelchair rental for several weeks to see if that will assist in the healing. Otherwise, there's a real possibility of a full lifetime of being in a cast.
Ruth Ann
Father, You know all the things You've called Ruth Ann to do in her life, and You know her present helplessness even better than she knows it. I pray You'll give her physicians wisdom and insight into this, and that You'll enable them to find a very good and very speedy solution. And thank You, Lord, for being the Great Physician and Lord of physicians!
Please keep on praying for Ruth Ann, folks. Pray that she'll be spared from or healed of Charcot foot, a very painful, debilitating, and dangerous disease. Our Lord can take care of it. Pray for His blessed work.
I am still praying for you Ruth Ann.
Ruth Ann: I pray that you will heal quickly and the bone stimulator will be of great help. Patience and endurance for you. Carol
I've never heard of this bone stimulator, Ruth Ann but it sure sounds as if it's working and that's wonderful news.
God bless you, dear sister.
Ruth Ann, I hope you heal quickly and completely. You are such a joy, and I love you!
Ruth Ann, I can really sympathize with you as I broke my foot/leg at the ankle and had to have a steel plate and screws put in. I was completely off for a month and used a wheel chair....thanks to a friend. Then, my niece came to stay with me and help me. I learned a lot about depending on others and that was hard. I will be praying for your healing.
I couldn't imagine not being able to walk. I really pray that the machine and chair do their thing and allow your ankle to heal. It is so much more difficult for diabetics to have foot problems heal as that is a circulatory nightmare if I remember correctly.
Amen to Carol's prayer.
Ruth Ann I am praying for you.
Ruth Ann - I am praying for you!
