Please pray for this tiny little 3 year old, the granddaughter of one the ladies at my church. A few weeks back, her mother found a lump on her belly when bathing her, and it was determined that it was a cyst attached to the liver. This past Sunday it was announced that this cyst is indeed malignant.
Aaawww Sue :( This has to be one of the most painful things a parent or grandparent can hear ... BUT Our God is an AWESOME God and He can bring this to a glorious finish. I pray the malignancy will be removed wthout incidence and that there will be great rejoicing in the goodness of God. I also pray He will give extra blessings and peace and comfort to all the family members and that they will know and acknowledge that The Great Physician has been in their midst.
And I surely do echo and amen Jane's prayer.
Yes, I say amen to Jane's prayer too.
Thank you. If there is further word on Sunday, I will bring it here.
praying for this little girl.
I chatted briefly with Sydnee's grandmother on Sunday and there is a bit of good news. The growth is not on the liver but is on the muscle of the abdomen. There is an exploratory surgery scheduled for Tuesday and at this time, the growth may be removed and then 6 months of chemo. It may also be that the decision is made for the little one to have chemo and then the removal surgery. It won't be decided until Tuesday.
This little one had surgery Wednesday February 22, and a tumour the size of a baseball was removed as was a kidney, part of the liver and some of her tummy muscles. The tummy muscles were replaced with pig tissue. The tumour had grown in a short period of time from a golf ball size to the baseball size. Please continue to keep her and her family in your prayers. This is such a trying time for them.
I am remembering her in my prayers. Thanks for the update.

I am praying for Sydnee.
I spoke briefly with her grandmother yesterday after church and was told that she is to start her second round of chemo today. Grandma says that she is such a happy child and seems to be taking this all in stride and not much is bothering her.
How hard for a little child-continuing to pray
