Hi everyone. My friend Kim, who is in the advanced stages of cancer, will be moved to hospice today. The doctor's have said she may only have days left before she dies.
I remember part of the conversation we had last week. She said that whatever the outcome of this situation is, she understands it to be part of her life journey, and that she accepts that. I came away from the hospital marveling at her strength and calm, and wondering if I would have the same attitude if faced with such a dire diagnosis.
Please continue to lift Kim up, along with her fiancé Nick and the rest of her family.
Dear Lord, I thank you for drawing Kim and I together in Christian friendship. I thank you that you have been a constant, calming presence for her throughout this trial, and that she knows you have been with her. I trust that you will welcome her home with loving arms, when and if you decide to do so.
In Jesus' precious name I pray, amen.
Thank you all in advance.
Bonnie
Amen to Bonnie's prayer. O Father, grant that Kim's focus now will be upon You, and that she may indeed come gloriously into Your Presence through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen and Amen ... My thoughts and prayers are with you, Bonnie, as well as Kim's family and loved ones.
Awww... Bonnie, I'm sorry. Please know that I will be praying for Kim during the coming days.
Thank you all so much!!
:aaah:
The most recent update I received is that two mutual friends went in to visit her today, but didn't stay since she was sleeping. She is in hospice now.

Sad, yet glad. I received notice that Kim passed away this morning. Sad to hear this news, yet glad that she has gone home to be with the Lord. May she soar on eagles' wings.
Thank you all for praying for her and her family.
Your sister in Christ.
