Nita just called, in tears, to tell me another sister, Pam, is in the hospital in great pain .... and "they nearly lost her" just now. Not sure if it's ruptured appendics or what, but she is asking for urgent prayer.
Pam is the sister who has been so helpful with Faye as well as Nita, when she fractured her back. She is known as the family hero .... now she needs prayer.
Thanks Jane....
Definitely I'll be praying for Pam. My goodness! What else will that family have happen?
Jane, I am praying now. May our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician, ease Pam's pain and give the doctors wisdom. And may He give His unlimited peace and comfort to Nita and the rest of the family.
Praying Jane and Nita. May each of them know God's presence as the Doctor's figure out what is wrong.
Prayers going up for Pam, Nita and Faye. May the Lord wrap his arms around all of them and may they see His mercy, grace and healing power!
I too will be praying for Nita, Faye, and Pam as they face this new trial. May they all experience the Lord's peaceful, calming presence.
My prayers continue for Nita, Faye and Pam.
I also join in praying for Pam, Faye and Nita.
Well, it seems the problem was a duodinal ulcer that burst, causing internal bleeding. There were a few hours of concern, but Pam had surgery last night, and is in recovery doing well. We praise God for His hand of mercy and watchful care over this family.
Praying for each family member.
Praying will continue for all concern
Continuing here, too.
Praise God that Pam's urgent crisis has now passed. Prayers continue for her complete healing, and for Nita and Faye and all the family, as well. God is truly good.
Thank you for all the prayers! She really did "bottom out" 3 times, Bill said. The first time they had the paddles on her, and I think the second two times they did something different. Pam said she could hear them saying they couldn't find a pulse. Scary.
She is a big water drinker, and can't have any now. Poor thing. She has a tube up her nose to drain off all the contents that the rupture allowed to seep into her. She does have a liquid drip, but that's not the same as feeling that cool water on your tongue, you throat. Sounds uncomfortable for sure. I haven't talked to her today, but talked to her nurse and she was recovering "nicely". I'll see her later today.
Makenzie (her teen daughter) said that the reason she was losing so much blood so rapidly...was an artery was opened? I'll have to asked about that.......but for now, PRAISE JESUS..........she made it just like she promised me. :) I was afraid because this is such a small hospital, and having to have emergency surgery in the middle of the night...but with all that prayer, that surgeon just had to be a good one. :)
Going to Faye's tomorrow while she has the port put in. Thank you again.
Prayers continue, Nita, and thanks for the report.
I'm here with support for all Nita's family. And for others who have requested prayer.
Prayer changes things, and people, and hearts, and minds, etc.
Love to all,
Ruth Ann
Glad to see the positive news about Pam. I am emphasize with Pam on not being able to drink water as I do it all day long in small sips and always try to keep a glass of water and ice at hand when I am not in bed.
Continuing to pray for Pam and the entire family.
Thank you for continuing to pray for Pam. She has been bleeding internally again...well, I guess it never stopped, and they think it's from her surgery now. Today was good news in that she is now replenishing her red blood cells, but she had to have another transfusion.
She is still confused, (and she's never been confused) and when they told her how serious it was, she became agitated (also unlike Pam) and they had to sedate her.
It just doesn't stop. I'm so tired. so thankful I can lean back in the arms of Jesus.
I'm praying for everyone involved.
I'm praying....Not much else I know to say. Try to rest Nita.
Nita is Pam in the hospital here, or in Roseburg? Continuing to pray.
