For those of you who remember Victor Oliver, and the things that I have posted about him over the last year and one half, He will be returning to court April 19th.
He has spent the last six months in a mental hospital being evaluated to see if he is capable of standing trial.
Please be in prayer about his situation. His mother has asked that we pray for his release and/or probation. He is innocent of the charges against him.
I'll be praying, Marilyn. I know this has been a horrible ordeal for them to go through.
I will pray for Victor Oliver Marylin
for his release and /or probation
May God Bless him
Ria
Thank you Karma and Ria this means a lot to me.
We will certainly be praying that the Lord show His hand in this situation, Marilyn.
Thanks Marilyn...
For any who would like to read the previous thread on Victor, it is here[/u] (http://christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=2138.0).
Marilyn, I have prayed today for Victor today. Hopefully he and his family will find relief from this burden which has been on them for such a long time.
Papa John
Father, I pray You'll give the judge special insight and concern for Victor. Open his eyes and move him to do true justice, Father. And give Victor grace to undergo all this while still trusting in You and knowing You are in control. Oh do these things through the agency of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, I pray for strength and grace for Victor and his parents, for justice and compassion from the judge and anyone else having input into this case. I pray that Victor's health will improve more and more until it is completely restored.
Please show Yourself strong for Victor in this ordeal and bring it to a speedy conclusion after all these long months of worry. In Jesus' name, amen.
Thank you Janet and Al for the added prayers posted here.
Thank you to Pat, Papa John and Jeanne too.
These prayers are much appreciated. I wil let Peggy and
Bill know that you all are praying for Victor.
I have had an email telling me tha tVictor's court date has been postponed again, but the person who wrote me didn't know the new date yet. As soon as I find out I will let you all know. I think it is a good thing it gets postponed so much.
It has been 1 1/2 years that he has been incarcerated waiting for this to be oover and done with.
His parents have really suffered and Pastor Bill told me before I moved that he didn't think he would live to see the end of this and he almost went home a couple of months ago when he was so sick.
Peggy is 69 and Bill is 73
Pat and I were posting in different prayer folders at the same time and I want to bump this up to update you for Victor.
Thanks Marilyn, for letting us know about the change of court dates. I've been praying for this young man today.
I have been going over my prayer lists tonight, and realize that I don't have an update on Victor Oliver, or his parents, Bill and Peggy.
Marilyn: If you should read this post., could you let me know the latest news on Victor? Is he still incarcerated? Also, I have been concerned for his parents. I remember when Peggy was so ill; we thought she's never make it. How is she doing these days?
I'm sorry for so many questions., but this family has been on my mind so much in past days.
Judy> Victor is still incarcerated and his court date has been postponed again. It was Bill who was so sick not Peggy. Just keep praying for them.
Oh., sorry I have those names mixed up. BUT, the Lord knew who I mean't . Victor is still weighing heavily on my heart. Please tell Peggy that her family is still being remembered in prayer.
Marilyn, is there an update on Victor Oliver?
Ruth Ann
Victor went back to court in April and it was once again postponed, I just ask last night if there was any more news and unfortunately there is nothing new that I can tell you at this time.
I am lifting up Victor to our Father , to give help he as only God can.~AMEN
Marilyn,
I was at the sink in the middle of the afternoon and Victor came into my mind so strongly....How is he?
Please give us any news dear. Tell his parents I still think of him. He is not forgotten.
Jenny :-*
Jenny I email a friend down south and here is what he wrote back:
QuoteNo update Marilyn to speak of yet, Peggy has not mentioned anything new anyway that's taken place. All i can say is just, he still need's to be remembered in prayer tell your friend .
The end of November it will be two years that this case has been going on and that he has been in jail. My friend did tell me that they police are still finding a lot of very old cases and charging him with those too. It is so sad that an Innocent Christian man is being persecuted in such a horrible way.. Please continue to pray for Victor.[/b]
Marilyn.
We have a saying over here "The law is an ass." That is not being very kind to an ass. Jesus chose an ass.......
My heart aches for Victor as I write these words...
Lord how long, how long? Please do something in the super-natural and release dear Victor to his loving parents...You can do it Lord.
We shall give You all the thanks and all the praise and all the glory...
Amen. Amen
Luv u
Jenny..
I thought I would let you all know that Victor Oliver is still incarcerated and still fighting this case. Nothing has changed. the courts in Victorville, California are still delaying his trial. (two years now) I spoke with a friend of the family last night.
Please continue to pray for Victor and his parents Pastor and Mrs. Bill Oliver.
What a long time for Victor and for all those involved. My prayers will also include that the proper individuals be charged for their misdeeds.
Ruth Ann
Marilyn - I'm so sorry!
Father, I pray that You will reveal Your powerful hand in rescuing this innocent fellow! Oh Father, impress upon those of the court to break this logjam and to set the innocent free through our Lord (even Lord of these things) Jesus Christ.
I just got a call about Victor, he got sentenced to 9 years and the Judge reduced it 5 five years and said he had to serve 85% of the time. Will let you know more as it comes to me.
Thanks, Marilyn .... Still praying for God's will in all of this ... for everyone.
I'm still praying as well.
Does the time he has already been in count?
Yes it does.
Father, even though this case has already been adjudged humanly, yet You can still do wondrous things. I simply pray that You will yet move the judge to see the truth and to release Victor. Through our Lord Jesus.
Amen, AL ... Our God is STILL an Awesome God and He can do the impossible ... and especially what man judges as impossible! :D
Amen Al!
