Just wanted to let you know that we'll be dealing with Psalm 119 in a special way. It isn't a worship psalm as the others are. Rather, it's likely that it was a pedagogical tool in the training of Hebrew youth. Each portion of it begins with the next consecutive letter in the Hebrew alphabet. At the same time, therefore, as teaching the alphabet, it tended to teach godly wisdom for living. Christian schools or homeschooling were universal in those days!
Will look forward to this Psalm, Al.
Al are you going to do it 8 verses at a time. (one section)?
Sounds great, Al. I've so enjoyed these studies. I've got quite the book already!
Marilyn - yes, that's the plan as of now.
I thinkthat is the best way for me. Each 8 verses deals with something different. Doesn't it?
Yes Please Pastor. I will pop in too if may.
Some years ago when I was very depressed a Christian friend advised me to read Psalm 119 very slowly, a bit each day. It helped me then.
Blessings.
Jenny.
I love Psalm 119. We had it in a Bible study once and was really enlightening. Thanks again, Al, for these studies! I am creating a big book too, Pat!!
I know, Etta Sue... I have Al's Psalms, Al's Studies in Mark and all of Iain's devotionals and I've already filled one ring binder. We have a gold mine on here. It's too bad more folks aren't taking advantage of it.
...Hey Pat...I have a nice big folder now too. 'cause now I have a printer!!!

Oh, that's wonderful Jenny! I keep my book beside my bed and I go through one of them each night or early morning. I really enjoy Al's writings.
Oh yes and "The Shepherd's Psalm and The Weeping Woman"..per our Jack and some others too incl. Bill Bright and Andrew Bonar.
I must ask Iain if I can copy some of his too. That would be wonderful...pop Iain and Al in together with Jack....Yes?
Love Jenny X
