Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Psalm 148

Like most of these last few psalms, this too is an exhortation to praise Jehovah.  In this instance, all His servants in heaven, all angels all stars, all planets – all creatures of the entire cosmos - are urged to join in the praise.  Anyone reading or hearing this psalm is urged to realize that all heavenly creation reveals the wisdom, love, and power of the Creator. And every earthly creature also reflects His glory. So even all the great and small of earth are urged to praise their Maker.

There is only one reason needed and therefore stated for this exhortation.  The psalmist says, "For His Name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heavens!"  He should be praised just because He alone is sovereign!  When time and space and all therein reach their final state, God ALONE will be seen as the wise, powerful, and absolute Lord of all!

But are there some people who should even more specially praise Him?  The song leader answers by turning to the covenant people of God – those who have on this particular morning gathered in the temple.  Leading out, he sings that they are the special people, singled out by the sovereign God, chosen to be "near to Him!"  He tells them – and they repeat - that God should be specially exalted in their praise – that He delights in that praise more than in that of all the rest of creation!

And with all that praise – that of the heavenly host, that of all creation, that of all the nations, and specially that of His people – resounding in his ears every gathered worshipper on this particular morning is urged to join in and to shout, helleluJAH!

You, too, dear reader, are urged to join all the saints in this, for the day is nearer now, the day in which we shall be gathered before our Lord in heaven.  There we shall be singing with all that's in us.  We'll be singing, "Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing . . . blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him Who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!" (Rev. 5:12, 13)
