Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Psalm 75

Who gets the credit when we do something right?  And who gets blamed when we do something wrong?  Finally the most important question - do you realize where you really are?  The answers to these questions are pretty much common to us all: we take the credit for what's right, we give the blame to someone else for what's wrong, and we dwell in our own little world!

But the problem is that the answers we give often reflect some seriously wrong attitudes!  For one thing, we need to be lots more aware that this world we live in isn't ours - it's God's. And we need very much to remember that He's an omniscient and omnipresent God - which means that He's right here observing everything we think, say, and do.  Not only so, but if we succeed in anything, it's because God has graciously helped us.  If we fail, we fail either because we went about it the wrong way or because we didn't depend upon Him (or maybe weren't even doing His will!).

Considering these things, we very much need to remember that there really is a time coming when He's going to judge absolutely everyone.  As the psalmist says here, "For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup (the cup of judgement), and the wine is red; it is fully mixed, and He pours it out; surely its dregs shall the wicked of the earth (all who boast in themselves) drain and drink down."

In view of this coming judgement, His Word tells us that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom," (Ps. 111:10).  It is far better for each of us to do as the psalmist tells us he's going to do.  He says - and we should say with him - "But I will declare forever, I will sing praises to the God of Jacob."  In other words, we must boast only of God's good works when things go right.  We must also confess to Him our sins and failings when things go wrong.  And, finally, we should walk before Him in His world with reverence for the God Who is there and Who owns it all.
