Title: Tuna Macaroni Salad
Post by: Marilyn on August 29, 2005, 07:41:27 PM
Since I don't measure anything in this I will attempt to give you approximate measurements then you can use your own judgement for your family. This is a recipe that I made up.

Tuna Macaroni Salad

1 cup elbow or small shell macaroni
1 large dill pickle diced
1/3 cup chopped white onion
1 large stalk celery diced
2 small cooked or pickled beets chopped (I use canned)
1/2 cup tiny peas
dash of cayenne pepper
Bragg's liquid amino's to taste or you can use salt, I use a little coarse ground Sea Salt
Mayonnaise to taste
1 teas. mustard (not powdered)
1 can White Albacore Tuna drained and flaked

Cook the macaroni and cool in cold water. While it is cooling chop, cut and dice, the veggies, add the tuna and the macaroni. Mix it all up and add the condiments to your particular taste. There you have it.

That's about the way I make mine...I don't measure either.  But I have never thought to put beets in it.  Sounds good!  Will have to put beets in mine the next time.

Like Etta Sue I have not put beets in mine and neither have I put in Pickle but I will give it a try as it sounds as though flavor will be added.
