Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

She doesn't like being daddy's model so I have to sneak a shot when I can.  I wish I would have gotten her standing to the right of the frame, but before I could take another pic she caught me and moved.  Next time I'll catch it and do it right from the start.

Still a precious picture....Like she is looking at something that intrigues her!  I like it!

It's a wonderful picture.
I'm sure she will LOVE it when she's older.

I have a lot of shots like this, not to worry though, it's still a keeper. ;)

Wow.   I love beautiful pictures that violate all the "rules for good pictures", and still come out great.   The conventional wisdom is "leave some room in the frame for her to move into", but this one works.   The tilted horizon balances the composition and the hard backlighting makes a dramatic framing for her face, which then becomes the central feature of the image.

It all comes together.  Who was it who said "chance favors the prepared mind?"

That's an heirloom shot.

The exposure makes it hard to see, but the boekh of the trees in the background is great.   What lens did you use?    I tonemapped the original, and the sharpness and depth of field is much better than your image suggests.    You might want to make a copy and play with it a bit.   This one will sing with a little adjustment.

I really, really like good B&W portraits.
