Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Jane Walker

Today is the anniversary of her birthday: 9-25-53

My life was blessed the day God broke through the dark clouds and sent a beautiful baby daughter to bring joy and laughter and light.  Her sunny disposition, dimpled smile and happy giggles were ever present wherever Jean went.  Jean found pleasure in almost everything.  Even if the situation was such that it brought frustration and concern to others, she remained calm and serene and worked through whatever bothered her.  From the first day of school Jean excelled in all things academic, always top in her class and one of those "straight A" students.  She never even seemed to struggle with her studies, and she was always willing to help a friend who did seem to struggle.

Until Jean was three years old, it was just "Mommy and me," as I raised her alone for those years.  We were close companions, and shared everything.  Jean was always mature beyond her years.  Everyone loved her and marveled at her intelligence.  One Sunday, because I had to go to work as a telephone operator, Jean stayed with some friends: a newly wed couple that attended the San Rafael church, the husband being stationed at Hamilton Field with the Air Force.  When I joined them at the church that evening, I was told how Lloyd had tried to find some word -- any word -- that Jeanie could not say.  Remember, she was not yet three years old.  He had her repeating psychologist, psychoanalyst, psychotherapy, communication, extraordinary, scrumptious ... well, you get the picture.  After church, as we were standing around visiting, my bouncy little daughter came up to the group and announced brightly, with her customary dimpled grin, "Hi!  I'm conceited!"

Jean is my first-born, named for her two grandmothers: Jean and Louise.  She filled my life with sunshine for forty-six years.  I love her and I miss her.

Words cannot express the sorrow that one feels regarding loved ones that have left us to dwell with the Lord.  We can only wait patiently for the time when we will see them again.
Walking by faith means you see God's hand even in the most difficult of circumstances.

It doesn't get any easier, does it?  But thank God that He gave us memories.  Some questions just never get answered but when we get to heaven we will understand.

I just know your life was richer with Jean in your life.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Jean looks like one of my Euchere gals...I first thought who posted Jan's photo?

Marilyn

There is so much more I could have shared about Jean.  She was loved by many and a great asset to the community as well as the church and especially the music department of her church.

This is what I wrote and was read at her memorial service.

Thank you for your thoughts and comments.  I do miss my girl and I guess I always will.  One day we will meet again.  Oh glorious day!

Thanks so much, Pat.  I think of her often and somehow it just seemed I needed to remember her birthday here.  It is important to not let loved ones "be erased" as someone put it recently.  She was a vital person and her life here on earth was far too short for a mother's heart to wrap itself around.
