Title: Josh Outdoors
Post by: Ben on July 02, 2009, 01:52:53 PM
Most people (erroneously) believe that bright sunlit days are best for outdoor portraiture.  The exact opposite is true.  Overcast days are the best, especially when you get back under the canopy of trees a few feet to block the skylight.

This was all natural lighting. I didn't add to or subtract from the lighting that was there and the background is exactly as it was except I cloned out one dead yellow leaf.

I love natural lighting but I don't think my photos ever turn out as good as yours Ben.

Great shot!

Good Looking young man!  My daughters want to know who he is!

I see what you say about less sunlight, I will try that in the future!

Good work!!

That's so nice, Ben!  Great lighting in that for sure.  I try to stay away from the bright sun as well.

But best of all, it's great to see you here again!!!!  I see you're still going at the professional photography business!  Lovely to see.

Now, don't be a stranger!!

Judy,

He is 6' 5" and weighs about 270 lbs.  Metric conversion, 612.7 CM and 122.4 KG. Regardless of which you understand, he is one BIG boy!

Ben, are you keeping busy with the portraits right now?

I expect that you were quite busy with high school graduation.  Do you do College grad pictures as well?

High school senior portraits are quite popular here in the states (as you most likely already know) but college graduation photos have never caught one.

I'm not as busy as I would like to be, and while I am thinking about breaking out the dark glasses and tin cup I haven't done it yet!  Maybe next week however.  :D
