Pottsboro advanced to the state baseball tournment in Austin by defeating Peaster today in Colleyville.  Pottsboro won game 2 9-8 and game 3 8-6.

You sure captured some colourful shots! 

And these are highschool?

Yep, high school baseball.  I shoot for several area newspapers which cover high school sports.

And what are you using again?

For daylight baseball I use a 300mm f4-5.6.  My body is a simple Nikon D50.

I have a Nikkor Lens   VR Zoom- 70-300  f/4.5-5.6

I went to get the Nikon D50 finding out that it's not made anymore and so I said, "Alright, let's see the D70"  Same thing.  So I ended up with the D80. 

Still learning. 

Got the kit lens with it.  DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-135mm  f/3.5-5.6

My lens is a Sigma.  Yeah, the D50 replaced the D70.  D40 replaced the D50 and the D80 puts a mid range in the mix again.  I really want a D200 for the fps speed since I shoot sports.  I use my 18-55 as a good wide angle lens when I need it.

This is great work.   I love the concentration on the face of the pitcher who just released the ball.

What sharp colours!  They are beautiful!
