Morning Devotional...

For by grace are ye saved through faith.
Ephesians 2:8

Ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
Ephesians 1:13

Made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:6

Salvation is by grace alone through faith in Christ, plus nothing.

The moment we are saved, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit, signifying a
finished transaction, ownership, and security. Also, at that moment,
believers are lifted spiritually with Christ--seated together in heavenly
places in Him, sharing His throne, even though physically still on earth.

In Christ we are no longer earthbound, but risen high above this world's
disappointments, enjoying His spiritual gifts.

Saved, sealed, and seated--what a blessed trio!

Rise, My Soul! Behold 'Tis Jesus (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/stuttgart.mp3)
(Click to hear music)

Author:  J. Denham Smith, 1817-1889
Musician:  Psalmodia Sacra Gotha, 1715

Rise, my soul! behold 'tis Jesus,
Jesus fills Thy wond'ring eyes;
See Him now in glory seated,
Where thy sins no more can rise.

There, in righteousness transcendent,
Lo! He doth in heav'n appear,
Shows the blood of His atonement
As thy title to be there.

All thy sins were laid upon Him,
Jesus bore them on the tree;
God, who knew them, laid them on Him,
And, believing, thou art free.

God now brings thee to His dwelling,
Spreads for thee His feast divine,
Bids thee welcome, ever telling
What a portion there is thine.

In that circle of God's favor,
Circle of the Father's love,
All is rest, and rest forever,
All is perfectness above.

Blessed, glorious word "forever!"
Yea, "forever!" is the word;
Nothing can the ransomed sever,
Naught divide them from the Lord.

And, I'm second! That's because it's so late that I encroached on tomorrow's NEM instead of today's. :)

I have lots to thank God for including being able to walk.

The last time we had a building evacuation I had to sit at the entrance to the stairwell and wait for 2 maintenance men to "help" me down the stairs in my wheelchair.

Today, we had a false alarm that forced an evacuation, and I was able to make it down the stairs on my own (2 flights) and then to stand outside 10 minutes, and then wait 30 minutes for an elevator going up.

For the blessings of 2 feet and legs, tonight I'm very thankful.

Hi everyone.  It is so nice to see our longtime friend Mieka posting once again.  It is like getting a call from a long lost friend.

Ruth Ann, it sounds like you have come a long way in now being able to walk so well and to handle the stairs.  Keep up the good work.

Pat, I thought that devotional was just outstanding.  It is probably something we should print out and read everyday.

Marilyn, did you get your yard mowed yesterday?  It doesn't take long in the spring for a yard to sort of get away from us.  Over the years I have cut a lot of grass on banks and tight places with a weedeater.  Are you still sleeping better now?

I ended up not having to go to the committee meeting last evening.  The other members were not going to be able to attend so the head of the committee and I each got on our telephones in front of our computers and spoke for about 82 minutes going over our church website and talking of changes we want to make.  We couldn't have done this very effectively at the meeting.  It really worked out well.  Pat the link is www.wpcsnellville.org (http://www.wpcsnellville.org)    I am working on a new missions page, which is not yet visible but should be there shortly.

Pat and I both need to go to Kaiser this morning for appointments or blood tests.  It is time for another check on my PSA level.  So that will take up most of the day.  We also plan to go to a big farmer's market they have up there.  We were given a small gift certificate from there plus they have very nice things, a good bakery and cheese shop as well.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning  this time it really is MORNING. Hey Mieka, HELLO!! <3 Missed you a whole bunch.  :D <3

Larry: Yes I am sleeping much better now, My Tai Chi instructor gave me a different kind of mask and I am so grateful for the wonderful sleep I am getting now. My grass did not get mowed yesterday. I got a call about 2 PM telling me that the Pastor  forgot to put gas in the mower and Dennis said he didn't have a gas can to go get gas and I don't have one either. I guess I will have to either borrow the mower and weed eater from next door or go rent one when ever I can afford to. Getting out there with the big loppers to scissor it bending over like that is just not what I want to do.  :idiot:

Ruth Ann when are you going to post a new profile photo to let us see  that there is a lot less of you than before? 8)

I will be back later. Got to check my email now.

Hi, Mieka....little one.  I was just thinking about you yesterday wondering where and how you were!
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.core.com%2F%7Eettasue%2Fanimations%2FChineseLOL.gif&hash=b5774353a393a135025136076a7a48b64e7a105a)

Marilyn, I have a battery operated weedeater that I purchased at WalMart.  I love it.  You could probably 'mow' your yard with one like it.  No gas.  Just plug into the charger after each use.  Lightweight, too!  Less than $50!

It is bright and sunny in Indiana today.  But the radio says storms this evening....  I took my empty gas containers to the station to fill up for the lawnmower...$2.79.9...the highest I have seen since the Hurricane last August!  Geesh!!

Ivalou has her grandson, Parker, at her house today.  I hope he will come over here and retrieve some can goods that have fallen off my lazy susan in the kitchen.  I can't reach them.

VIA CON DIOS, MIEKA :)

April 7

Prayer: Just Meditate for a Month
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates
day and night.
--Psalm 1:2
Let the old saints be our example. They came to the Word of God and
meditated. They laid the Bible on the old-fashioned, handmade chair,
got down on the old, scrubbed, board floor and meditated on the Word.
As they waited, faith mounted. The Spirit and faith illuminated.
They had only a Bible with fine print, narrow margins and poor paper,
but they knew their Bible better than some of us do with all of our
helps.

Let's practice the art of Bible meditation.... Let us open our
Bibles, spread them out on a chair and meditate on the Word of God.
It will open itself to us, and the Spirit of God will come and
brood over it.

I do challenge you to meditate, quietly, reverently, prayerfully,
for a month. Put away questions and answers and the filling in of
the blank lines in the portions you haven't been able to understand.
Put all of the cheap trash away and take the Bible, get on your
knees, and in faith, say, "Father, here I am. Begin to teach me!"
The Counselor, 136-137.

"Guide me, Lord, as I take time throughout this whole year to
meditate on You. Tozer is stimulating me, but my real desire is to
hear from You. I'll get on my knees this morning, Lord, in quiet
expectation. Amen."

MIEKA!!!  I'm so sorry I missed you!  I think of you so much, and miss your cheerful posts, and your thought provoking questions.  I pray you are well, and am so happy to read that it is a wonderful time for you there this time.  Come in and post as often as you can, please!  <3 <3 <3

It is cold, windy and damp here today.  High wind warnings in effect until 6 this evening.  Not a good day to be out on the road, but we will be.  We are to be in Hugoton at noon, so we can go with the kids from there.  I had to find people to check on Beth while we are away.  She had some sort of strange and very scary episode last night. :'(

Ruth Ann, I am SO happy you are able to walk again!  Whenever I am at Beth's (very often) I come away thanking God for the wonderful blessing of being able to just stand up from a chair and walk across the room!  We aren't grateful enough for good health, I think.  Those who have lost it would give all they have to regain it.  It is great to have you posting more often, as that tells me you are feeling better.  (((hugs)))

I cannot speak to each one individually today as time is running out.  But please stay safe, stay well, and stay close to God.  I will be back tomorrow night.

Etta Sue I do have a battery operated weed eater it just doesn't  go for a long enough time to finish when the grass is so long. This is getting ridiculous  having to wait for someone else to do just because I have no mower. Please pray for Gilbert to be more attentive to my needs as his mother, I could really use his help.

Have a good trip Janet

This is a day filled with rain and cloud.  I have had a very interesting week but a busy one to be sure. I hosted an 87th Birthday Party for a dear Aunt of Sue and myself what a wonderful time we had together.

Then today has been another interesting day as well.  Pat your friend Al from Langdons came in for a visit.

Janet keep strong.

Time to prepare dinner         Ruth

Mieka, it is so good to see you here.  You have heard about how Cornelia has been very sick.  She had a massive heart attack the last part of January.  Since then she had another serious episode, a cardiac arrest when her heart quit beating and she stopped breathing.  But God has been good to us and now she is doing much better and is on the way to recovery.  I thank God every day.

We have been having bad storms here with tornadoes all around us.  In one county just north of us there were eight people killed by the storms.  The worst of the storms passed just north and just south of us.  We still may have more bad weather tonight.

Good to see everyone.

Papa John

Hi all!

All these bad storms must be moving towards us.  We are under a tornado watch until midnight, and heavy rains and thunder beyond that.

Signs of Spring, eh?  Let's see what I can dig up!

Today's Verse

I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
