Morning Devotional...

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9

A tract was discarded in the streets of Blantyre, Malawi. Perhaps the one handing it out was discouraged?

Under the guidance of God however, a man picked it up and it led not only to his own salvation, but through him and missionaries who visited him, to the beginning of a new work of God in rural Malawi.

Don't let discouragement stop you from serving the Lord.
--David Croudace

Christian seek not yet repose;
Cast thy dreams of ease away;
Thou art in the midst of foes:
Watch and pray!
C. Elliott

All to Jesus, I surrender;
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

Refrain
I surrender all, I surrender all,
All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

Refrain

All to Jesus, I surrender;
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

Refrain

All to Jesus, I surrender;
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power;
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

Refrain

All to Jesus I surrender;
Now I feel the sacred flame.
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to His Name!

Refrain

Pat as you know it is so easy to besome discouraged.  BUT this devotional has a lot of encouragement in it.

Continue to rest a lot Pat.

Melaura is off to Detroit. She left early, and continues to be excited.

Rick continues in Hospital.  It willl be Wednesday at the earliest that he will be home.  Looks like a month off work.  Ouch.

Tires tonight too.

Night all.

Good evening, all.

Marilyn, I know how I feel when my grass is so tall.  I like to get it mowed and looking nice.   I wonder if you could find an inexpensive used mower somewhere.  That way you could mow when you knew it needed it.  Here in ourarea  we have a group (yahoo group, but you have to be in our area) called freecycle.  I'm so surprised at the things that people post to give away to others who are in need.   It'd be great if you could find something like that.  I read about ours in the local paper.

I have a visitor tonight.  Actually, he's staying with his dad who is staying with me. :)  It's Kaleb, my grandson.  He's staying till Sunday while mom helps his aunt move.

Meika, it was very nice seeing your posts.  As you can see everyone is in love with our Meika. :)

All To Jesus I Surrender.   This is one of the most precious songs.  I can never even attempt to sing it without examining my heart as I do.

Pat, hope you are getting the rest you need.   I've been unable to get good sleep for days, so last night I really crashed.  I think I will tonight too.  It comes in seasons.   Just like everything else in the universe.

Blessings,  Nita

I have had my shower, cereal, coffee and devotions.  Now I am typing and waiting.....for the plumber.  Waiting.  He said he would be here about the same time as last week.  He is an hour late. Today is 60 Chix also.  I moved my car to Ivalou's driveway.  My drive is  one car wide and I didn't want to have the plumber move his van.  Just hope and pray that he shows up.  My basement is really in dire need of something to remove the water...all of it.  I keep hearing noises and looking but no plumber yet.

I pray that everyone has a purr-fect day.

Well, it's shopping day today (Winco Foods), and preaching day tomorrow.  Many are complaining about all the rain, etc., but I am absolutely convinced that we should never even say a bad word about the weather - it's all from God's hand, and He doesn't make mistakes.  Thank Him for the rain.  Thank Him for the sun.  Thank Him for all He sends, and just ask Him to help you use it rightly.

Good Morning, Good word this morning Pat.

Time is fleeting by this morning I have been busy on the computer and stripping EVERYTHING off my bed for the laundry. I need to flip the mattress and will have to have help to do it. I will get my neighbor to help after I get home from work today.

Nita I ave found the freecycle website for this area, thanks for telling me about it.

Got to go now and fix my breakfast.

Good Lunchtime Everyone!   :lol:

Late getting here.  I stepped out to go to my rhubarb patch to see if there was any life about it and I see it's popping up through the ground and then I hurried in after putting a bucket upside down on top of it to force it.

It was 27 F out!!  :eek:

I think it's gone up a bit now.

I'm so happy that y'all enjoy the devotional.

I was thinking about our Nashville folks last night when I was watching CNN and seeing that the terrible storms were in that area.

Have you seen today's verse?  Wonderful!

Today's Verse

For if, when we were enemies,
we were reconciled to God
by the death of his Son,
much more, being reconciled,
we shall be saved by his life.
Romans 5:10

Hi, friends,

Yes, it's so good to hear from Mieka. I'm glad you remembered how to post again.

My gratitude today is that my home did not get damaged in the storms that seemed to be all around us.

God is good...  ALL THE TIME.

Good Devotional:

Just checked and our rhubarb is also starting to show. Also our tulips are well on the way.

We are going out for dinner later this afternoon but before we leave I should take a picture of my little snow drops, some little animal transplanted from someone's garden.  They are beautiful.

I must go.

Ruth Ann,  I'm glad you were safe last yesterday and last night through the storm.  We were lucky too that it didn't do any damage around us.

It is a cloudy dreary day today but no threat of storms.  :rose:

Heb 13:5-6  Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, "I will never fail you nor forsake you."  Hence we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid; what can man do to me?"

daily meditation
----------------
I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Psalm 23:4

Consider how the Holy Spirit can make the Christian independent of
outward circumstances. What a bright light may shine within us when it
is really dark outside! How firm, how happy, how calm, how peaceful we
may be when the world shakes, and the foundations of the earth are
removed! Even death itself, with all its terrible influences, has no
power to suspend the music of a Christian's heart, but instead
makes that music sweeter, clearer, more heavenly.

It is 6:22 here. We are not long in, john had a speaking engagement today in a little town called Cannington.  A lovely town and wonderful folks.  I did go but the decision was really last minute.  We left just after 4:00am.  I am not one to enjoy early mornings, thankfully John was driving.

It is just+4*C here tonight.  I need to move out outdoor thermometer to a place that isn't so well shaded.  It may not feel so cold then?

I envy those of you who are into the lawn mowing.  That is my all time favorite job here but there is still snow on the ground on the northwest side of the hills. Any chance of getting a bit of rhubarb root from you Pat?  I have none. Also have those little blue bells bloomed on your front lawn?  They were always the first sign of spring on Sheppard. Mom did like to see them every year.

Papa John and Ruth Anne I am glad you have been protected.  Our God is good.

Well I have a lot to do before bed, so I am off till tomorrow.

Hi everyone.  Glad to see that our CP folks in Tennessee are fine with no storm damage.  I hope the same is true for Karmat and her family.  There was some storm damage in Atlanta and to the North but we just had rain.  If we had any strong winds they didn't wake me.

This afternoon was our dress rehearsal for the Easter Cantata tomorrow.  We have a 15 piece orchestra made up of members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and it was so enjoyable.  This is a beautiful new Easter Cantata with a spoken script.  I am looking forward to singing tomorrow especially since both of our children will be in church with us, something that doesn't happen very often.  We are taking everyone out to lunch following the service.

Our son was here almost all day working on my computer network.  He finally got things organized after trying a lot of different things.  I am still having problems networking and sharing files.

I am tired tonight as wasn't able to rest this afternoon.  I think I was experiencing some heart failure yesterday but seemed to be a lot better today.

See you all tomorrow.

Well I have had my supper, showered and shampooed. So I am set for the night except for my pj's.  I did a lot of nothing today, created some new stationeries in PSP, get everything back on my bed, went to the bank and to Kmart to make a payment on my layaway.

I am so glad to hear that Papa John, Cornelia and ruth ann are safe and that there was no damage to  their homes.

I am watching Ebay as I have bid on a nice leather Bible  cover. It will be all done here shortly.

Hi Larry we were posting at the same time.

We are home again, and I'm tired.  It was a whirlwind of a road trip, and another really busy day tomorrow.  The grandsons looked so handsome in their uniforms, and did a great job marching in their parade.  (Sound like a proud Grams?)  ;)

It is getting late, so I'm off to get the NEM ready for tomorrow.
