Morning Devotional...

Can a woman forget her sucking child. . . ? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.  Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me.
Isaiah 49:15-16

Have you ever felt forgotten? By friends? By God?

The Lord here cites a case of a mother and her child. He asks whether we think a mother could forget? Very unlikely, but she just might.

But I'll not, He says. "Yet will I not forget thee."

We are engraved on the palms of His hands.

Although we sometimes feel so, we are not forgotten.
--Reg Jordan

Forget thee I will not, I cannot;
Thy name engraved on My heart doth forever remain;
The palms of My hands while I look on and see
The wounds I received when suffering for thee.
Jay

Thankyou for the devotional this mornrng Pat.  It was a nice thought to wake up to.  It reminds me of the words to that hymn:

Can a woman's tender care,
cease towards the child she bare?
Yes she may forgetful be,
yet will I remember thee.

I trust everyone has a good day today, see you all later.

My eyes are still watery and painly and i am depressed.
From the doctor i may not a long time on the computer and not look tv a lot.
Next week is our own doctor back then i will ask or he will call the hospital or i can come earlyer
Now i must go in octobre.
My father is now sitting in a wheelchair it is not needfull the hole day stay on bed.
Thursday morning we must to the hospital talk to which rehabilitation centre he will.
But he must stay in the hospital till there is place. But he is no more confused.

It is terrible warm in Holland the last days also the nights. The most nights i am downstairs a lot
i can not sleep. But the change is being greater that we get thunder and then it shall be a little bit cooler. This is too much for Holland it is very clammy.

Psalm 108.1
My heart is steadfast, o God;
i will sing and make music with all my soul.

                               WITH ALL HIS HEART

Let me be like David, Lord,
who through all his successes and defeats,
                               his triumps and failures,
                               among the monuments
and amid the ruins of his life -
loved You with all his heart.

Bye love Ria

Ria, what a blessing to know your father is not confused any more. I'm so very thankful you can work with his care givers for the best solutions to his care.

Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hello, everybody!  I really hope all of you can experience Jesus hugging you today.  I often find myself being so "formal" with my Savior, but He is so much more personal.  He sits and looks deep into my eyes and feels all the pain I feel.  He knows how tired I am, and He weeps with me.  Even though He knew He was going to raise Lazarus from the dead, He wept with Mary and Martha.  He walks with me as I walk the dog, He stands and smiles as I play with my son.  When I talk like a sailor in moments of anger, He bows His head in shame, and gently prods me to turn from that way.

When nothing else will do, He pulls me to himself and says "Hey, buddy, I know what I'm doing, but I also know how hard it is for you to understand that.  Hang in there."

There's a peace in that.  It's really NOT me versus God.  It's a huge struggle for ME to let go and REALLY trust Him, because I always think that He's going to do something that will hurt.

I have a new "mantra" that the Spirit led me to last week.  KBF.  It's a simple formula for the Christian life and its application - Know, Believe, Follow.  Head knowledge, heart knowledge, feet knowledge.  I KNOW a lot about God, the Bible, Jesus, etc.  There comes a point where I have to REALLY believe or reject it.  I have to let the KNOWLEDGE become a BELIEF that controls my every action.  Once that happens, I can FOLLOW God.  Until I really believe what He says, I just wonder around attempting to find my own way out of the problems I encounter.  But once I believe enough to FOLLOW, He will take me around, through, or over the problem and it will really no longer be my concern.

I honestly feel those are three steps of faith that we will be challenged with until we die.  KBF is not a one time event.  It's a lifelong process.

I hope Jesus hugs you today.

I've just finished doing the shopping and thought I would pop in again.  Guess most of you are still getting ready for the day.

Ria I am sorry to hear of your difficulties, but thankful that your father is no longer confused.  That must be a great blessing to him and his close ones.  I trust everything will go well at the hospital.  It has been hot in England over the weekend and I could not get to sleep either.

Ruth, it is good to see you on here this morning.  What have you got planned today?

Nards, those were some good thoughts.  It is possible to know many things about Christ, but to actually apply these things to our lives is different.  I liked your KBF idea and I trust that we will all take it to heart in our future days.

I am going to have a bit of a relax this afternoon.  A friend of mine and myself are planning on taking guitar lessons in a short while, so I am going to prepare myself for that.  God bless everyone and see y'all later on.

Anthony.

Wow Nards, I am blown :o away by this.  This is awesome to think about and teach my kids. Thanks so much for your words of wisdom!

I just got done working on the church website.  :D VBS is going well at our church.  We had 10 new kids ;D yesterday and hope to have more today.  Chandraya invited a neighbor friend yesterday and he plans to come all week.  It is exciting  ;D because his parents don't go to church.  :(

Click here and then on the dates that are underlined to view pictures and read what is going on in our church during VBS.  ;D (http://www.westsidebaptistchurch-gillette-wyoming.org/VBS.dsp)

I better get going, Lila Mae has VBS in a few hours.  We missed some of it yesterday.   :-[  <soni needs to pay more attention to the time>

Nards ~ I got goose bumps while reading your post.  What great wisdom.  Yes, we KNOW the Bible because we read and listen to the spoken word.  We BELIEVE in what we read and hear.  But many of us...me included...fail to FOLLOW.  Indeed, knowing and believing is not enough.  God wants us to follow in His steps.  We need to think.....WWJD?  I am praying that Jesus gives us all hugs today but here is a hug from me, too!

What wonderful weather we are having in Indiana.  I went to bed with all my windows open...I live in the country and I have no fear going to sleep with my windows open and I know that if anyone would want to get into my house, it could be done very easily.  But I woke up around 3:30 a.m....it was raining.  So I stumbled through the house and closed all the windows and turn the A/C back on.  But, again, after checking the weather report this morning, all the windows are open again.  The kitties love running from window to window to hear the sounds of the outside.

Hi everyone.  Am sitting here reading the postings and eating my lunch.  When I finish both I am going to take a nap as had a restless night.  This morning after coffee my friend Ed and I drove to the Kaiser facility at the Mall so that I could have a blood test done (a routine test).  Then we went to Staples as I needed a new plastic pad to go under my desk chair and then stopped at the grocery store for a couple of items.  I dropped Ed off at his home and then stopped to vote in the run-off election being held today.  So it was about noon before I got home.

Ria, glad to read that your father is doing well and is no longer confused.  However, I am certainly saddened to read that you having to fight depression and the continuing problem with your eyes.  Hope your doctor, when he returns, will be able to advance your appointment at the hospital.

Etta Sue, we are also having cooler weather.  My wife did turn on the air conditioning lasat evening as it got pretty warm.  It is overcast and still cool here today.

Sonja, your website for your church is coming along very nicely.  It sounds like you are all staying very busy.

Anthony, have you taken guitar lessons very long?

Nards, thanks for sharing your thoughts on KBF.

Ruth Ann, will we see a new picture of you with your new haircut?  Are you getting an award on Thursday?

Pat, you certainly had a busy day yesterday.  Glad I am not the only one who forgets and leaves things I need at home on occasion.

Janet, are your grandsons also artistically talented?  You may have to open your own family gallery.  Of course, I realize they have a very good art teacher.

Rachel, I also live in Georgia.  I just picked up the fact that you were from here as well.  I live about 30 miles from Atlanta in Gwinnett County.

Marilyn, that blueberry jam sounds very good.  I bought some blueberries at the market a couple of days ago and they are still in the refrigerator.  My wife said she might make some blueberry muffins.

Papa John, I am going to follow your lead and take a little afternoon nap.  :D

Alma, congratulations on your new award winning photo.

Oh, Nards, what a wonderful post.

It was great to come back and read your posting a few minutes after checking in.

I am going to re-read and meditate on your words.

From one so young and still full of a life time of living to do: I am pleased that
our Heavenly Father opened your eyes to these truths and your willingness to
share with us.

Your family, friends and all that come into your acquaintance will feel the love
that you have for your friend, Jesus.

I know , my friend Jesus is with me always and it is a very peaceful feeling.

Take care and as always,

Love in CHrist,

Joyce

Etta Sue,

Please send Lucky here to me.....

Hi everyone from Scorching U.K....well it is in Birmingham anyway.  Whew!!!

Just been over to see Khalida the Village Post Mistress and drink tea with her beside my little church. Hard to believe that just a short walk away is this busy main road beside which I live...such peace....Seems our little Post Office will be closing later this year...all attempts to save it have failed.  It really doesn't do much business these days, mostly folks frequent the main post office at two nearby Shopping Centres...sad because the village communities are dying in this land at a fast pace. We have Sheltered housing and a nursing home adjacent to the P.O. and these folks will any more not be enabled to collect their own pensions etc.,

Ria, thank-you for the lovely reminder of King David today., who "amid the ruins of His life" loved God with all his heart.  It was encouraging dear.  Speak later sister.  :-*

Hello Nards, Soni, Rainbow, Ruth Ann......etc., (being all who pop in later).

"Let the Beauty of Jesus be seen in me.
All His wondrous compassion and purity.

Let the Presence divine all of Nature refine
Until the beauty of Jesus be seen in me."

God bless,
Love you all,
Jenny.

Just popping in before I go down to see if my mother is ok.  The carer has just finished getting her ready for bed.  Feeling a bit sick tonight for some reason, but I am still thrilled with the thoughts that Nard brought earlier on, is there any chance on Nards writing a lengthier version so that we can print it out.  It has really encouraged me today.

God bless to everyone else, have a great night.

Hello Jenny, it is so good to see you here today.

This morning Cornelia and I went out to do a little shopping.  We stopped at Walmart, went by the service station to fill up with gasoline (petrol, Jenny), and then went to the grocery store for a few items.  Cornelia has gone over to the nursing home to teach her weekly Bible class there.  At 4:00 this afternoon we are going over to our daughter's house to have ice cream and cake to celebrate our grandson John's 20th birthday.

Rom 1:14-17
14   I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.
15   That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.
16   I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
17   For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

PAT:  We left Okracoke and were in Panama City Beach, Fla when the hurricane hit Cape Hatteras and Okracoke.  I read in USA Today:  "The manager of the Comfort Inn in Buxton, Cape Hatteras said, 'I watched the Coke and ice machine float away.'"  This was the same Comfort Inn we stayed at a week earlier.  We missed the hurricane by a week.

Okracoke does fold up and go away at dark, and it also does the same thing in midafternoon.  All cafes, restaurants, etc close at 3 PM and open back up at 5 PM.  We got there at 4 PM and couldn't find a place to eat.  We had to settle for a sandwich from a gas station.  It was pretty tasty by the time we ate it.

RUTH ANN:  I know it's not much of an excuse, but the first day in Nashville we crashed and lounged at the pool.   The 2nd day we were really busy all day as well as the third.  We didn't have much time for a visit...sorry!  Then we left early the last day....

Hello, Friends.  I had a close call today---not a dangerous one, but a forgetful one.  I had in mind all the time that I was to judge at Liberal on Wednesday.  So after I went swimming, I came home and called to get Darrel a dental appointment, then called to get myself a Dr's appointment.  They said I could come in at 2:45 today...........so I went to put it on my calendar, and OOPS!!  It was TODAY I was to judge in Liberal.  As it happened, I didn't have to be there until noon, so I woke the boys, fed them breakfast, and we were on our way.  We made it in good time.  Oh, yes, I did call back and changed my appointment to Thursday morning.  I can't imagine having the long waits you have there, Ria.

Larry, two of the boys are left handed, and they say lefties are usually more talented artistically than righties.  It is a bit awkward to teach them, because they have all their stuff on the opposite side of where I have it.  They are doing well.  Tim loves to draw, which is a good foundation for painting.  This is Addison't first attempt at painting.  Right now they are in my studio painting their faces with acrylics!   :o

It will be time to feed these guys again soon.  We aren't used to making three complete meals every day!  But it's wonderful having the little guys here.  Yesterday at the pool, when I came to pick them up, the 11 year old, Addison, was sort of pinned up against the wall in the hall, with three little girls clustered around him, combing his hair!! ::)  They said they were making him "pretty."  I said, don't you mean handsome?  And they said yes, he is handsome, but now his hair is pretty.  He was just looking rather long-suffering, and sort of rolled his eyes.  Then later, some little girl called Justin.  (He will be 16 next month.)  I told Darrel "Honey, these grandsons of ours are Babe Magnets!!  (Are the girls so forward everywhere now??)

Nards, I also got a lot from your devotional, and would enjoy an expanded version.  Thanks.

Hi, friends,

Here I am, popping in for a moment. Yes, Larry. Our company gives Tire 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 awards. Any employee (or client) can nominate someone for an award. A client raved about the service our team had given him for several years, so we've advanced all the way from bottom (Tier 3) through Tier 2, and now come the Tier 1 Awards. And, in late September, the chairman of our huge company is supposed to eat dinner with the Tier 1 award winners. I'm really looking forward to it.

Also, to include my son, I've asked him to attend the awards ceremony with me on Thursday. Hope he feels like it.

See y'all later.

Jingle Bells  (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/christmas/jingle-bells.mid)
(Click to hear music)

Dashing through the snow
In a one-horse open sleigh
Through the fields we go
Laughing all the way.
Bells on bob-tail ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing
A sleighing song tonight.

cho: Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way,
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh, O
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way,
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh.

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side;
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot,
We ran into a drifted bank
And there we got upsot.

A day or two ago
The story I must tell
I went out on the snow
And on my back I fell;
A gent was riding by
In a one-horse open sleigh
He laughed at me as
I there sprawling laid
But quickly drove away.

Now the ground is white,
Go it while you're young,
Take the girls along
And sing this sleighing song.
Just bet a bob-tailed bay,
Two-forty as his speed,
Hitch him to an open sleigh
and crack! You'll take the lead.

I went to bed and left my computer downloading something, that I decided I didn't want and  so I have had to uninstall, do a system restore, disk clean up, defrag, then AOL wouldn't connect to the modem and I had to call Tech support this afternoon after work. I had to uninstall AOL and reinstall AOL. from the disk a d now it is upgrading to the latest version.

Nards, please do post a longer version in Manna for us.

Hi Everyone, I will have to tell my daughter Bonnie about tropical storm Bonnie.  She will get a kick out of that name.   My daughter Bonnie is getting things ready for the next school year.  She is the Principal and Founder of a private school in Newmarket.

I have tried to the best of my ability to help Sandra, the girl from Brazil.  I now have to trust the Lord that He knows what's best for her.  She will probably have to go back to Brazil on the 20th of this month and I will continue to work on the puzzel at this end.  She would like someone to sponsor her and let her work as a nanny for 2 years in their home so she can get her papers to be a landed citizen.  She is experienced in teaching also.   So God knows the details.

Well I want to go to bed early.   God Bless

Love Ruthie

Oh, Sarah, I always enjoyed the start of school.  (Then it wore off a bit!)  But I really wish I could do it over again and I'd work so hard.

Time to lock the door...
