Morning Devotional...If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of Myself. John 7:17
How are you to know God's will about this matter that lies before you? The alternatives are neither clearly wrong nor clearly right.
None contravenes scriptural precept nor principle. The decision must be made.
Here is a truth given by the Lord. In a word, it is that further revelation demands present willingness. If you are willing to do His will, indeed desire it above your own, He will not permit you to make an irrevocable error.
That is really "pre-willingness." Willing for His will--whatever--before clearly knowing it.
Submit, then act, and the Lord will overrule for His glory.

Take My Life, and Let It Be (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/hendon.mpga)

Romans 12:1,2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.Â
Author:Â Frances R. Havergal, 1836-1879
Musician:Â Henri A.C. Malan, 1787-1864
Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.
Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose.
Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

We're so happy to see you here!
[/b]
Thank you so much for the welcome Pat. It means a lot to me to be here among friends new and yet to be made.
Delphine??  Is that you, for real?  It's great to "see" you here and I know you will enjoy the fellowship. WELCOME
Hello Delphine and welcome. ;D
Delphine!!! How delightful to see you. I believe you and Bob will really enjoy being here.
By the way, have any of you made Snowman Soup? It's good to warm the heart with its imagery, and warm the tummy, as well.
Snowman Soup
Put the kettle to boiling merrily.
Take your brightest holiday mug from the shelf.
Toss in a few small white snowballs (ummm - marshmallows, if I must be plain)
Add a packet of your favorite hot cocoa mix (I prefer sugar free)
Toss in a couple of Hershey's kisses (sent straight from the snowman, of course)
Pour the boiling water over, and stir with a peppermint candy cane.
Absolutely delightful for a cold winter day.
Ruth Ann
Hi, Delphine, and a big WELCOME to Christian Photographers. Â I hope you will love it here as much as I do.
We both woke up at 5:15, and Darrel was hurting, couldn't lie there any longer. Â So I said "Let's go swimming, that will probably help both of us." Â And that's what we did. Â It felt great to be back in the water after over a month of not swimming. Â I hope it helps our kinks and pains, too.
December 20th?!?!?!?! Â :o :o Oh, my..........I MUST get busy around here! Â Even after attending all the Christmas celebrations here in town yesterday, I am still not feeling like Christmas! Â Have to be about planning food, getting more gifts, etc. Â Will I make it? Â I don't know!
I'm sorry to hear of Theron's death, too. Â I well remember their posting their love story on SN, and not that long ago. Â I guess we have to be thankful for what good times we have, even if they are all too brief.
I will try again to get some pictures ready to post. Â When you have so many, it seems overwhelming. Â But I will try, will work for an hour, then duty calls! Â See you later.
Ruth Ann, I just saved your Snowman Soup recipe---I know Abby will enjoy making that! Thanks.
WELCOME DELPHINE!!!!![/size][/b]
Well, we've got everything bought & sent (until we discover the many new or forgotten ones). Gotta concentrate now on wedding anniversary (50th), which will actually be celebrated on the 30th, though officially it's on the 26th. Just send money.

I just know you will love this place as we all do!!
Delphine Welcome to Christian Photographers It is great to have you here. You may not know me but I sure recognize your name from SN.
Well I am going to my Green Enchiladas for my dish at the Christmas dinner at Sarah's parents house. I will have to go shopping as soon as I get my car back. I will be calling this morning to see how much damage to my pocketbook it is going to be.
My landlord wants Gilbert to move his shop elsewhere because of the propane and oxygen tanks. He is afraind that if there is an earthquake they will blow up and take out the whole block. I am sorry to hear that, as Gilbert has an order he has to complete and the kids are so short this month.
Well I must get dressed and do a few things here before Gilbert gets here and I can go to work.

Yes, Janet.....December 20th!!! :o
It is cold here. Still a little snow on the ground. But that is too be expected in central Indiana.
Ivalou and I are going to Noblesville. I have my Urologist appointment to see if there are any nasty tumor in my bladder. Then we will eat lunch somewhere...it is her day to choose where. Then we are going grocery shopping for next Saturday...hopefully before the grocery shopping rush. Ivalou loves Carrot Cake so I am going to surprise her with a Carrot Cake!!!
Jerry is warming his car and is ready to leave. This evening I will pick him up at this house and go to church. Our Small Group is going caroling....hope it is inside ::)
Then I can relax until time to prepare food for Christmas Day. I think Jerry is coming back here sometime Friday. No one should spend Christmas Eve or Christmas Day alone....him or I. I have and I didn't like it.
Glad you all liked my Optical Illusion... 8)

Words by Dick Smith
Music byFelix Bernard
Sleigh bells ring
Are you listening
In the lane
Snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
We're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song
As we go along
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
Then pretend he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man
But you can do the job
When you're in town
Later on
We'll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid
The plans that we've made
Walking in a winter wonderland
Winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman
Until the other kiddies knock him down
When it snows
Ain't it thrilling
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play
The Eskimo way
Walking in a winter wonderland
Yeah we're walking in a winter
Yeah we're walking in a winter
We're walking in a winter wonderland
Wonderland
Winter wonderland

Well I have just heard from the garage. The timing belt broke and to replace that and check all the seals inside the cover where the tiiming belt is housed and replace the valve cover gasket too it will be $590.33 That is if the seals have to be replaced too. Oh migosh more expense for an old 1984 car. That old car has been good to me and those old VW Scirocco's seem to run forever. It has over 200 thousand milles on it. Some day I will have to have her repainted the former owner used spray cans to paint her and it is sure fading now.

Hello folks...
Brrrr... it's so cold here in Guelph. About an hour ago, I looked at the outside thermometer and it was minus 18C! That's cold!
As we get nearer to Christmas Day, let us remember to think upon the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
THE FORGIVING HEART...When I forgive from my heart...I forgive those who humiliate me.

He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

I am praying for you. Though the old cars, mine is a 68 AMC Rebel SST. This car has been like a Timex watch. It takes a ticking, and keeps on ticking. Both of my kids learned how to drive, in it. The car, from their learning, never got a scratch on it. ;D Course I told them they had to fix it, *wink* if they messed the car up.

Trials and Pain: The Ministry of the Night
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may
endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
--Psalm 30:5
But there is a limit to man's ability to live without joy. Even
Christ could endure the cross only because of the joy set before
Him. The strongest steel breaks if kept too long under unrelieved
tension. God knows exactly how much pressure each one of us can
take. He knows how long we can endure the night, so He gives the
soul relief, first by welcome glimpses of the morning star and then
by the fuller light that harbingers the morning.
Slowly you will discover God's love in your suffering. Your heart
will begin to approve the whole thing. You will learn from yourself
what all the schools in the world could not teach you-the healing
action of faith without supporting pleasure. You will feel and
understand the ministry of the night; its power to purify, to
detach, to humble, to destroy the fear of death and, what is more
important to you at the moment, the fear of life. And you will
learn that sometimes pain can do what even joy cannot, such as
exposing the vanity of earth's trifles and filling your heart with
longing for the peace of heaven.
That Incredible Christian, pp. 122-124
"Thank You, Father, for the ministry of the night, for the lessons
of pain. But thank You, too, that we're not alone in the night.
Thank You for the morning star and the glimpse of the light of
morning. Amen."

I can't remember everyone I wanted to say something to, but I do know that I have enjoyed all the links, the cards, and Pat most especially your opening devotional today.
It was so cold here this morning that it took three tries before my van would start! Even after letting it idle to warm up for 15 minutes before leaving for work, it was still another half hour before I had any kind of heat, and by then I was only 5 minutes from work. That first cup of tea tasted and felt so good! I was taken out for lunch today by my boss, so I am feeling very spoiled right now.
TBear, enjoy your BIRTHDAY DINNER tonight!
I must go, things to do!
I have been backing up all my files. Tomorow My computer is getting a complete "cleanout" and I will be reinstalling windows. Yes everything is going. I am tired of all the trouble Ihave been having. I willb e back later on.
DELPHINE: Welcome, welcome, welcome... I'm so hapy to see that you are now "One of Us"!...LOL
Please come back and post often.
Also - welcome to Bob and David!
No news worth reporting....we are just back from visiting family in Kingston.
- Judy Mc.
Hi everyone. We are in the grip of some very cold weather for this part of the country. Fortunately it is to be warmer tomorrow. It was 16 degrees this morning and only got slightly above freezing today. About dark our daughter came in the front door (she usually comes in the side door) and said she had run out of gas just a little ways up the road from the house. I went out to the shed to get the gas can and by the time I got back in the house was having an angina attack from the cold and having to bend over outside. Pat took her to the gas station so I didn't have to get out again. Still not feeling 100% and will go to bed early for some extra rest.
Welcome Delphine and Welcome David to CP. We are happy to have you as new members.
Marilyn, sorry to hear of the high tab for your car repair but that seems to be the case in almost any repair anymore. We have had major car expense the last several months so held my breath earlier this evening with regard to our daughter's car. I was relieved it was just out of gas. It looks like we might make it one month without more major expense on car repair.
Janet, glad to read that John arrived safely. Know that the next few days will be very special for Beth. This visit was a nice Christmas gift for her. It sounds like you were beyond busy yesterday. Don't know how you keep up that pace.
Ruth Ann, glad you are feeling better.
Please forgive me tonight for not addresses each person but just don't feel up to it. I have read all the postings and it is good to see so many posting.
I've never heard this one before but Larry coded it for us last year.

Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior,
which is Christ the Lord
Luke 2:11
Words: Possibly from a 14th Century Benedictine processional from the monastery of St. Georg, Hradlisch, near Olm'uer natus in Bethlehem.
Music: composer unknown
A Babe is born in Bethlehem, Bethlehem,
Therefore rejoice Jerusalem,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Within a manger He doth lie, He doth lie,
Whose throne is set above the sky.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Stillness was all the manger round, manger round,
The creature its Creator found.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
The wise men came, led by the star, by the star,
Gold, myrrh, and incense brought from far.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
His mother is the virgin mild, virgin mild,
And He the Father?s only Child.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
The serpent?s wound He beareth not, beareth not,
Yet takes our blood, and shares our lot,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Our human flesh He enters in, enters in,
But bears no single taint of sin.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
To fallen man Himself He bowed, self He bowed,
That He might lift us up to God.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
On this most blessè¤ Jubilee, Jubilee,
All glory be, O God, to Thee.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
O Holy Three, we Thee adore, Thee adore,
This day, henceforth, forevermore.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
