Morning Devotional...Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
These are words of personal invitation.
We are invited to come to a Person, not to a church, creed or organization. "Come unto Me," the Lord Jesus says. Joining a church will not save you or solve your spiritual problems.
Yet many have joined churches and attended meetings without ever finding the rest that comes with salvation.
Are you one of them, my friend? In order to find true rest, forgiveness of sins and a new life in Christ, you must come to Him.
Delay no longer. Do it today!
--Carl KnottCome to the Saviour,
make no delay,
Here in His Word
He has shown us the way.
G. F. Root
Not often am I first! It's about 5:20 a.m., and I'm ready to leave for work, but wanted the blessing of the devotional before leaving today.
Y'all have a most wonderful day with the Lord.
Ruth Ann
Hello Pat and Ruth Ann. We are going after while to the hospital to check on Walker. We haven't heard anything this morning. My sister, Genevieve is 80. They have three sons. We are praying that Walker will survive this sickness. Ruth Ann, glad you are back from your trip and that you enjoyed it.
Papa John
Good Morning Pat, RuthAnn and Papa John.
Etta Sue I bought frames and framed the photos I have taken a photo of the framed photos and will post it as soon as I get a chance. (that sentence was sure a mouthful)
I have had to clean out my computer of MSN Messenger because I found out that it brings a lot of spyware into your computer I have to get a spyware remover program. There is a new one out called counterSpy that is recommended by Dell at:
This Web site (http://www.sunbelt-software.com/dellscan)
That you have scan for free online and order. They found so much spyware in my computer it is rididulous.
Larry Yes Fay does ask me to prepare something sometimes then won't eat it and tells me to throw it a way and cook something else. However she does try a bite at least. Her tastebuds have changed so much that food has almost not taste to her or tastes salty when I don't even cook with salt.
Got to Go now get ready for work.

We also picked up some NEW DECORATIONS for our LIVE TREE that we hope to pick up this weekend & get up. We did go out to eat last night & ate at my ALL TIME FAVORITE PLACE ... APPLEBEE'S of course I could not pass up the chance to have BBQ RIBS ... oh my were they good !! Sorry to say that I passed on the dessert last night because I knew if I did I would pay for it in the morning with my BLOOD SUGAR READINGS but ... it was not that bad.
I did go into school this morning & caught up with my daughter who enjoyed herself last night at the KELLY CLARKSON CONCERT down in INDY !! She called us around 1am to tell us that she was home & safe. So, she spent the night with a good friend & so they had a wonderful time & I am glad that she was able to go & that the weather was good for there travels.

PASSED AWAY over night he was only 23 years old !! He went to the school that all my kids were at for about 4 years & they changed schools & we never heard or saw him again until JULY this year when we saw him at a wedding of another classmate ... it's going to be hard for those that knew him so I ask you to keep this family in prayer.
Well folks ... I have to check out the rest of this board & then head over to a couple more that I am a part of & also check in with Kreative & her site ( I am a moderator there ) so take care & I will check back in later today !!

Good Morning Everyone!
It's a bright sunny day here in Guelph today but oh, so chilly. It was gusting and blowing all night. I'm sure that if my windows weren't so sturdy they would have been rattling for sure.
I had a rough night--one of those "Sleepless in Guelph" kind of nights. So at 4 am, I got up and made a hot drink and read my Bible for awhile and then turned on the TV and set it to sleep mode for 30 minutes and I don't remember it going off so slept for a few hours more.
It's so good to have you home again, Ruth Ann! What an early start for you though! :o
Papa John, please keep us posted on Walker. This is such a concern. I'll be praying throughout the day for him.
Marilyn, how's the weather there? Is it raining? Your photos sound lovely. I'll look forward to seeing photos of your display.
Such sad news, TBear. Definitely we'll be keeping your son's friend's family in prayer. Thanks for sharing with us here.
Well, what do you folks plan on eating today? Tell us in the new topic that TBear suggested. CLICK HERE (http://christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=3786.0) Even the men folk can let us know what they've eaten. It sure gives us ideas on what to prepare for our families to hear what someone else has eaten.
Did anyone watch Billy Graham on TV last night? My, he's getting so old. He's had a wonderful life though.
I'm anxiously waiting for Chris to bring us Dr. Tozer's devotional. I so enjoy that.
Well, my coffee is done so I'm off for awhile and I'll be back later.

Alma ~ Your dad is a Hoosier? Â What part of Indiana? Â Indiana isn't very big but it is big enough that some parts are not neighbors to me. Â What part of Hawaii are you going? I wanna go! I wanna go!!!
Karen (TBear) ~ Kelly Clarkson is a great singer. Â I saw her, Fantasia and Ruben on a special last week. Â Kelly was keeping up with Fantasia in quite a few songs. Â Glad your daughter enjoyed the concert and had safe traveling. Â Sorry about the death of your son's classmate.
I started a book yesterday and it is really good. Â I would like to read some more this afternoon so I had better hurry. Â I have also been knitting some of those famous dishclothes. Â I love them and they are so nice to give as gifts. Â
Bright and sunny again here in central Indiana. Â Just a little above freezing though. Â My solar heat is going so that helps on the heat bill.
Good morning, Pat. You posted while I was 'composing'!!Â
I am praying that all of you has a God-blessed Day!

Good morning Soni and everyone on the board. I worked late last night and I was a little slow getting up this morning. May God bless all of us to have a wonderful day. I could sure use one.
Nice seeing you, Logar... What do you work at? Do you work from home?
I trust that you'll have a wonderful day today!
Good Morning everyone :D
Pat I sure did like that devotional today.
Marilyn you can get a free adware remover called Ad Aware, just go to www.download.com and type in Ad Aware, then choose this one Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.05 it is FREE and works great! You just have to use it about 2 time a week ;) There is also a small program called shoot the messenger that will stop those grey pop ups you get with msn messenger. If you can't find it let me know and I will email it to you!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Hi everyone. My time is limited today but wanted to stop by and post. In about 15 minutes we are leaving to go and have lunch with new friends. This will be the first time for our wives to meet. This is the man I went to Fry's with yesterday to look at all the electronics and computer stuff. He is a real guru. They are also fine Christian folks so we have lots of things in common. I met his wife yesterday afternoon. There realtor happened to be there and we had an interesting discussion about our churches and what we believe.
Alma, your vacation plans sound super and you certainly won't regret spending the time with your mother. Unfortunately the time comes to most of us when we no longer have that opportunity.
Marilyn, I endorse Suzanne's recommendation on AdAware and you should also install SpyBot as it will find other spyware that AdAware doesn't. Both of these are free and highly recommended in the computer newsletters.
Tbear, we enjoy Appleby's occasionally and they have some great salads. You were wise to forgo the desserts since the bar-b-que sauce contains quite a bit of sugar. Glad you found your new tables.
Pat, that TV will put you to sleep everytime!! ;D Glad you were finally able to get some sleep.
Papa John, so sorry to hear of the serious illness of your brother-in-law. Hope you find him improved when you get to the hospital.
Pat, that was a wonderful devotional thought today. It emphasizes something that needs to be emphasized.
Need to sign-off. Sorry I haven't had time to address everyone posting since my last post but have read all of them. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Trials and Pain: He Knows
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our
weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without
sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we
may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
--Hebrews 4:15-16
Don't pity yourself. Don't be afraid to tell God your troubles. He
knows all about your troubles. There is a little song that says,
"Nobody knows the trouble I've seen," but there's Somebody who
knows, all right. And our Fellow Sufferer still retains a fellow
feeling for our pains and still remembers in the skies His tears,
His agonies and cries, though he's now at the right hand of the
Father Almighty, sitting crowned in glory, awaiting, of course,
that great coronation day that yet is to come. But though He is
there and though they cry all around Him, "Worthy is the Lamb"
(Revelation 5:12), He hasn't forgotten us, and He hasn't forgotten
the nails in His hands, the tears, the agonies and cries.
He knows everything about you. He knows! He knows when the doctor
hates to tell you what's wrong with you and your friends come and
try to be unnaturally encouraging. He knows!
With boldness, therefore, at the throne
Let us make all our sorrows known
And ask the aid of heavenly power
To help us in the evil hour.
The Attributes of God, pp. 94-95

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
Sister Pat, I enjoyed the devotion. Thank you sincerely.
Yes, it is still morning where I live. I just wanted to share a couple of portions of Scripture that are precious to me.
Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
Romans 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 10:5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Romans 10:7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Jesus is love, and Jesus commands us to love as he has loved us. That's very difficult, but we are to try with all diligence. Jesus loved us enough to die for us, so His commands for us to love as He has loved us is almost impossible. Realistically, we can't measure up, but His sacrifice on the Cross PAID IT ALL for us, including our failures to live and do as He has commanded.
The portion of Scripture from Romans is especially precious to me. If we are looking for righteousness, we will find it only in JESUS. We must yield to His righteousness and accept the gifts He has given us. The GIFT of Salvation is the most precious GIFT, one that keeps giving for eternity. It has to be a GIFT because no man could ever earn or deserve Salvation. ONLY JESUS can free us from the curse of sin and death, and ONLY JESUS can forgive us our sins. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We live in a "me, me" self-centered world. There is joy and peace when we fix our eyes on JESUS and yield to His will. It shouldn't be "me, me", rather JESUS!, JESUS!
Love In Christ,
Tom
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Thought you might enjoy this old hymn, sung by an old preacher,

Hi Folks,
Just dropped in for a minute before the kids go online for the rest of the evening.
Having read the devotional I was reminded of something I was thinking about recently.
It is the nature and glory of God to be always giving, while the object of our creation is to be always receiving.
Little wonder the Psalmist asks us to open our mouths wide in order that God will fill us. How slow we are in receiving what is on offer. We are quick and even eager at times to appraoch our Heavenly Physician with all our complaints and moans, yet when He offers the remedy and cure we are slow in accepting. I am at least!
I was aslo thinking recently about Peter and the Lord coming to meet His disciples walking on water through the pitch dark. They were frightened. Why? And why are we sometimes frightened of our God?
Well sometimes He comes to us in ways and means which we least expect. How many of the Lord's saints have experienced His Presence in a wonderful way after receiving news of the death of a loved one?
One other thought came to me. What was holding up Peter from the depths of the sea while he was in the boat? Nothing but a couple of bits of timber. What was holding up Peter from the same depths when he was walking towards our Lord on the water? The Word of God!
He had a more sure foundation while walking on water than he did in the boat!
May the God who upheld Peter against the laws of nature uphold and keep each one of us this day and always and may we never fear a nearer walk with Him, no matter which way He comes to us.
LOL to you all
Your brother in Christ
Iain
Ohhh, Iain! How wonderful to see your post today. We love you, Iain. Great message to all of us.

Joy to the World (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/christmas/joyto.mid)
(Click to hear music)
I bring you good tidings of great joy.
Luke 2:10
Words: Isaac Watts, The Psalms of David, 1719.
Music: "Antioch," arranged by Lowell Mason, 1836
Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.
Joy to the world, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

It is good to see each one today.
We did go to the hospital this morning and I stayed until about 2:00 this afternoon. My brother-in-law, Walker, is in ICU and the family is in the waiting room except on just a few times when there is visiting. I did get to go in with my sister and see him at 11:30 and have prayer over him. He has an aneurysm at a point near his heart which is very difficult to get to and because of this and his age surgery is not an option. They are hoping by medication to get his blood pressure controlled. Anyway they were a little encouraged today.
We are getting ready tonight to go over to Will and Rebekah’s to see their Christmas tree and decorations. Rebekah is one of our granddaughters. They live about five miles from us.
Ps 103:17-18 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--
with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
(NIV)

Papa John: I do pray that Walker will recover. Nice that you and Cornelia had a little break, and were able to go over to Rebekah's home and see the decorattions.
Larry: Would you send me the spybot address please? I agree with you. Marilyn should get Ad-Aware SE. I have it on my computer. I am so thankful that these sites are of no cost to us!
Pat: I watched Billy Graham last night. He sure has been widely used of God. He is failling though, isn't he. His mind seemed to be wandering a little last night, I thought. He said a joke about being in Texas, when in fact, he was in Kansas!
TBear: I love your little graphics!
Iain: I mean't to tell you, how good it was to see your post on here. You have been missed!!

Dear brother Iain - good to be able to address you again and to read your words. One day we'll converse long and uninterruptedly in the presence of our Lord! It certainly is true that Peter was supported just as well on the water as he was in the boat. What we need so much to realize is that we are always totally dependent upon the sovereign God. I believe it's one of the major aspects of our rebellion that we constantly go about depending upon ourselves as if we were sovereign.
Suzanne< Larry and Judy I had Adaware but with the cable spyware adna adware program it told me to remove AdAware before installing the one that comes with my cable. I would like to have the Shoot the Messenger though. I have all these pop ups and ads for IE and I don't even use IE, I have AOL and use that browser.
Al and Iain I would love to be a fly on the wall when you have that conversation, that is going to be a very long winded one for sure. ;D You have to know Al personally to understand that one. Am I saying he never shuts up? NO![/ He just like to talk a lot and really like to give directions. Directions of ANY kind. Right AL???
I used a scan for errors on my computer and it found over 400 errors they are allf ixed now. What a job. I have tied up this compute for 2 days now. Whew (as I wipe the sweat off my brow.)
Papa John I will pray for walker and your family. Please keep us informed.
Ruth Ann I have sure missed you and would really like to hear more about you tri[ to the UK.
Pat I really like the calbe connection so I can talk on the phone at the same time and not miss any calls.
I bought two strings of Red light and wrapped one set around the bannister on the porch and hung the other above the bannister, Thn I wput a flashing white wreath thingy on the upright. It looks real nice. I have the tree out of the box and plugged in but nothing else on it yet. Gilbert has talked me into getting a little Blue Spruce in a pot also.
I took a photo of all my photos liad out on the floor here at home as I will be unable to go personally to the craft faire as I willbe working. I will edit the photo soon and post it up.
This is too looooooog now. so nite all.
It's NOT too long, Marilyn... I really enjoy reading the newsy posts!
Where's Logar today? Did Logar post? I'll go back and see.
I've been singing this tonight...

As the Deer Panteth for the Water (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/asthedeer.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Written by Martin Nystrom
Psalm 42:1
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God."
As the deer panteth for the water,
So my soul longs after you.
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.
I want you more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy giver
And the apple of my eye.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.
You're my friend and You're my brother,
Even though you are a King.
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.
