Morning Devotional...

There they crucified Him.
Luke 23:33

The ultimate crime!

The supreme blasphemy!

The vilest obscenity!

The grossest stupidity!

Sinners defiled and dead to God, actually nailed "Him" to the wood.

He, the loveliest Man who ever walked the dust of earth. He healed their brokenhearted, dried their tears, and blessed their little children. He brought the Word of heaven to their hearts and would open heaven to their souls.

Who were "they"?

People like you and me. But, praise the Lord, He did it to procure forgiveness for people like you and me.

J. Boyd Nicholson

For me Thou has borne the reproaches,
the mockery, hate, and disdain;
The blows and the spittings of sinners,
the scourging, the shame, and the pain;
To save me from bondage and judgment,
Thou gladly hast suffered for me--
A thousand, a thousand thanksgivings,
I bring, blessed Saviour, to Thee.

Low In The Grave He Lay (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/christarose.mpga)

Low in the grave he lay,
Jesus my Savior,
waiting the coming day,
Jesus my Lord!

Refrain:
Up from the grave he arose;
with a mighty triumph o'er his foes;
he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch his bed,
Jesus my Savior,
vainly they seal the dead,
Jesus my Lord!

Refrain

Death cannot keep its prey,
Jesus my Savior;
he tore the bars away,
Jesus my Lord!

Refrain

Well, our pastor is back, so I get to sit back and listen.  The important thing is to remember that He is not only risen, but living - all authority in heaven and on earth is His RIGHT NOW!  Oh may we - may I - realize that our every prayer seeks to have the Father do things in our lives through Jesus our moment-by-moment Lord.  The Lord bless you and keep you.  The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.  The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

Hi everyone and Happy Easter.  We will be headed to church shortly.  This afternoon our daughter is fixing the ham dinner with the trimmings and our son and his wife are coming over share it with us around 4 pm.  I look forward to the day.

Marilyn, here is how to boot in safemode as described my Microsoft:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;315222 .  Basically just restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard.

Pat, thank you for the fine Easter devotional and Al, also thanks to you for your words.

Hope this is a nice day for everyone.  We have reason to rejoice.

Good Morning and Happy Resurrection Day.

I don't have a lot to say this morning as I am very introspective this morning, remembering all the Lord has done for me and where He brought me from. So please excuse me this morning I will be back later.

Chris and Margit I love that photo of the lamb. So sweet and so appropriate for Easter. The Lamb of God slain on the Cross.

What a beautiful day!  It may be raining and cold here but my heart is rejoicing that my Savior LIVES!

I, too, have been introspective this morning, Marilyn.  After reading a beautiful prophetic description of Jesus appearing before the Throne in heaven with all the multitudes of redeemed there to welcome Him -- those who had followed the Lamb faithfully throughout their time on eartth.  He embraced each one as though there was only He and that one.  He was presenting this multitude to His Father, Who sat upon the throne.  Oh, I want to be in that number!!

Then, I watched The Passion Play on Love Worth Finding and cried all the way through it!  Tears are still flowing knowing that Jesus loves me and gave His life for me but is now ALIVE and living in me!   HAPPY EASTER indeed.  My heart is filled with thanksgiving.  I found myself remembering the words to a hymn we used to sing and I went looking for it in the hymnals I have here.  It was in a very old book rather than the newer ones.  I wonder why?  Pat, do you suppose you could find Wonderful Savior?  I'm still singing it as I write this.  :)

Y'all enjoy your celebration of our Lord's resurrection today.  I'll be here, alone with Him.  See y'all later.

HE IS RISEN!!  HE IS RISEN INDEED!!  And He ever lives to make intercession for us before the Father.  My heart is singing His praises today.  Pat, thank you for including HE AROSE in the devotional---my all-time favorite Easter hymn.  I begged several days ago, for them to sing it today at church, but it didn't happen.

We had a full house at church, and a wonderful service (minus He Arose  :-\)  Pastor's sermon was titled "Are You Amazed?"  He used many Scriptures showing times people were amazed at Jesus, and ended with the ONE time Jesus was amazed---at the centurion's faith.  Oh, that He would be amazed by MY faith.  I have so far to go.

Beth is doing well this morning, went to church with us.  Now I am caught up here, time to see what I can rustle up for us to eat!

Happy Easter to each one of you.
I was listening to a preacher Friday night and he said as a little boy he could never understand why everyone would say is was a  Good Friday when someone had died :)
But Praise God Jesus died for all and praise God that he rose again because we have a hope that is worth rejoicing over.
Indeed Praise the Lamb of God.

Our church was filled today also we had to add two more rows of chairs after they were all counted there were 108 in the service. It was a wonderful sermon on Lazarus, Mary and Martha.

My next door neighbor just brought over an Easter Basket for me and two little one filled with doggie treats for Happy and Bebe.

Well Jane here it also is just me and Jesus, while most other church families are gathering together I get to have this wonderful celebration with Jesus.

Happy Easter to all! I enjoyed the devotional and hymn, Pat.  Thanks so much.

The kids used to at least go to church at Easter, but not even that this year.  So watched People's Church from Toronto.  That is much like the church I am used to attending....so long ago!  Hope to be back in a church next year if at all possible.  Coming here is a big help :)

Lots of rain here on the island.  Cold rain!  Kept Misty inside all day yest. and we both ended up having a nap.  She decided to come over and sleep on my tummy.  All 14 lbs. of her....was okay until she started grooming herself...and me ::)

Not going out to dinner or cooking it, today.  Kids are having company and I don't feel like joining them tonight.  Try to keep out of that stuff whenever possible.  Amanda has to work all day today...so they are eating quite late.  It is hard to tell when a holiday is happening as all places seem to stay open now.  Seems not much is sacred.  Big article in our Victoria paper today telling how one out of every five Canadians believe that Christ was a fraud, didn't die on the cross and was married.  Seems they have embraced the fictional Da Vince book with open arms.....Wait until the movie also comes out... :(

Watched Narnia on DVD the other day and what a lovely movie it is!  Also watched The March of the Pelicans last night on TV and was in total awe of the photography and story.  Seeing something so complex and beautiful fills me with complete faith that our God is real and His designs are not some form of chance that came about from evolution.

Enough for now.  Remember:     Laugh every day,
                                            it's like inner jogging!

              :lol:

Pleasant Day and God Bless.

Liz

Awesome service today.  We miss Pastor Dennis soo much But I have to say Jeff is doing  good job.

We had dinner at home today the entire family was here.  It is so good too have little Drake at the table with us.

The puppies have spent the entire day outside.  They all got into the burdock birrs, and what a job getting them out.  The puppies were patient and did little crying.  The joys of spring!!

I am off to take Mother home and try to get back before 7th Heaven is on.

Pastor Al that is my favourite benediction.  Wonderful peace to them.

Bye for now, God bless you all.

Good to hear that most are enjoying Easter with our Lord.  We had a pot of chili for lunch.  ;)  This afternoon, I took a movie-long nap on the couch, then got my reunion letters copied, addressed and ready to mail.  Then a young friend called and asked me to go get a soda with her, and we enjoyed a nice visit.  She used to date my grandson Curtis, and still thinks the world of him.  She is heartbroken that he is marrying someone else.  :'(  But she seems to be coming to terms with it now.  We are not having church services this evening.

At 8:30 PM Central time, on HGTV, they are featuring a home here in Ulysses!!  The program is REZONED (I think) and the house used to be a handball court.  The owner is a friend, scuba diving buddy, and our financial advisor, very nice couple.  Thought you might enjoy seeing it!

I didn't get to watch any kids hunt eggs this year.  :'(  I miss it.  Abby called while I was out, Darrel told me.

Liz, I'm so sorry you cannot attend church.  I know for sure I would feel lost without it.  Glad CP is a help to you.  (((hugs)))

Marilyn, what nice neighbors you have!  I haven't had an Easter Basket in years and years!  But I did get a nice Easter gift from Diane, with a book "Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul."  I was so touched by her thoughtfulness........she also included two rubber stamps.

I'm off now, so I won't miss the program on HGTV!

Our prayer meeting this evening was one of those times when all I can say is Wow what a mive of the Spirit. Then 11 of us went to the local Denny's for a snack and coffee, I had Herbal tea and french fries. Wonderful time of fellowshipping, When I came out to my care it was covered with sleet. I thought it was snow at first.

Well tomorrow I go back to work  Fay's nephew is leaving tomorrow morning.

I feel so good now, Hey Jane thanks for the email that is awesome I am  going to save it and read it again and again.
