Morning Devotional...

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Psalm 46:11

Hosts of heavenly angels and earthly armies;

Hosts of island universes and slowly wheeling galaxies;

Hosts of stars  all numbered and named;

Hosts of creatures  celestial and terrestrial, some never seen by man;

Hosts of laws and powers--He is Lord of all.

Such sovereign majesty and power bends the spirit in awed wonder.

But "God of Jacob"--here is the God of the individual.

The God who cares about persons can meet the need of one soul despite its littleness and unworthiness.
--J. Boyd Nicholson

O God, the great eternal One,
whose light eclipses that of yonder sun,
He, at whose voice heaven trembles, even He
Great as He is, knows how to stoop to me.

I actually posted this last night, between shutting hte door and locking it, but I figured I would put it here again, in case Rachelle didn't see it.

Hi Everyone!

I know I know I haven't posted in a long time, I have been going through some things, and also didn't really feel like I fitted in much here~ but I decided I needed the Christian support and would give it another try-Schooling 3 girls is a big part of my day-and being a Mom and taking care of the house-I also have 3 online ministries and that takes alot of my time..Recently the enemy has really been causing problems with my brand new PC~today they were suppose to replace the mother board, the dvd and cd rom-well the guy came and they sent him the wrong Mother Board and not a DVD Drive~This morning I had trouble getting online-and  then when i finally did I smelt a burning smell..anyway they now are replacing the modem and also the power source too..I hope to get this fixed soon..this pc is only 4 mo. old..I am thankful that I did however get extra warranty on it.
Hugs
Rachelle

I kept trying to just quote parts of your post, and ended up deleting what I needed, so I had to start over.

Anyway, WELCOME BACK!!  I was wondering where you had been.  And don't worry, you are part of this group.  A very vital, critical part.  I enjoy reading your posts and seeing how your family is going.

Online ministries?  Do you "run" them, or are you just part of them? I thought I had read that one of them was a weight loss thingy. I assume WW didn't work well for you?  (I didn't work well for WW, hahahaha.  Ended up quitting, not hahahaha).  Is it open to anyone?  You can send me a PM if you don't want to answer in the forums.

Sorry about the PC problems.  Some days, I wonder if life wouldn't be better without them (but then, no cp. :-( )

Talk at ya later

It's almost time for the Prime Time show with the Mel Gibson interview.  I thought I'd come here, get Angel registered(at her request), and get back to watch the show.

Welcome back, Rachael.   You have a Christian weight loss group online?  I would be interested in that too.  I feel so guilty for the weight I've gained, because I DO know our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.  I keep trying this diet, that diet, no diet, pray more, no tv at night.......all of those, and somehow something is missing.    I know that I should have all power in Christ, but here I am...I keep thinking there will be a place of overcoming where the temptation to overeat has no more power over me.  Enough confession for tonight. :-\

ZACH, Angel is registered and I think has posted some.  She wanted to get registered, so I did it for her.  I will show her how to do the 'check if you wish to be notified of a new post'
thing.   How are you doing, little brother?  Feeling better, I pray.

Nards..HEH!!  I like your new picture.

And Soni..........I don't have a picture of me there.......but I'm glad you like what you don't see. LOL   I think you meant it for someone else?  Was it Ruthie who has the new picture?  I can't remember now.  I need to get one too.  I took one yesterday, but with my glasses, all I could see was white reflection where my eyes shoulda been.  I'll try again.  Actually it was interesting, but alian looking. haha

Almost time for the interview.  Gotta run.  Night everyone

Hey Nita, I had a friend tell me the other night, she was on the Saucer Diet.  She would eat whatever she could fit into a saucer.  Someone asked if she could get refills on that saucer!!  It was just a joke, but I thought to myself, "Hmmm, there might be something to that."  Kinda like the famous "SeeFood diet" you hear so much about.

Anyway,  just to reiterate what I posted in the prayer section....please keep my family in prayer.  I have an urgent and unspoken......

Love to all

Didn't someone say that the best way to lose weight was to push away from the table at mealtime???

I decided to tape Mel Gibson and watch it in the morning, so came back to catch-up on things here.  Thanks for the link Karmat.  Yes I do like some of Bob Dylans's work and he wrote some great folk music.  Also have always liked that silly song 'Man Gave Names To All The Animals.'  It is sad what happened to his Christian stand....but it hasn't ended...he is still alive.  Who knows???

Have read that Mel Gibson is a Catholic who believes that only Catholics are really Christian and has a chapel on his property.  Who knows what is really true?  Certainly the movie has gotten publicity that must be worth a small fortune.  Have learned that God can use most anything for his own  purpose...was moved to go to church after seeing 'Jesus Christ Superstar.'  I was so touched by the music at that point in time and searching for some sort of truth....had been totally turned off by fanatical preaching by people who didn't practise what they were saying.  Will be interesting to follow the results of this movie....

God Bless.  Liz

7.30 a.m. England.

I know its very early and I have to deal with my pets but I popped in and read dear Liz's post.

For Liz.

Oh Liz...well done!!! blessings in the Name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Oh gosh I do thank God someone  else in the Body agrees re "Jesus Christ Superstar".,  The first time I saw it I went with a group of Christians from my then church to the local townhall for a preview. I was enthralled by some of the music and words...deeply moved by the singing..The "leader" of our Group...well she was the "unspoken"leader, got up in disgust and walked out and most of the others followed her....Except Jenny and a couple of other stalwarts.  It was brave for me as I had admired the lady who walked out greatly.  I was learning to be myself.

We all have a different walk with the Lord and He knows how to reach each one of us. This musical spoke volumes to me.

Talking of Jesus Christ Superstar.  I saw a bit of the stageshow  on television couple of years ago and the man playing Jesus was Steve Balsamo...He wept real tears.  This man was feeling deeply.I wept!!! I was seeing Jesus. The scene of Him on the Cross was overwhelming.  He was Jesus for me. Amazing amazing.....Where is Steve B.  Now? Anyone know?

Anyway Liz.  this post is for you.  Lord Jesus please bless Liz and her loved ones in a special way because she has blessed me today. Also Dear Lord Jesus, send Holy Spirit upon dear Mel Gibson that he may see the Truth in You.  Amen.

Thought:- If only 1 Denomination goes to heaven, won't Heaven be soooo empty!!!...So lonely!!!!

There are still a lot of "dividing walls" to break down folks.

                                                       Jenny :-*

England 9.50. a.m.

Good Morning all.

Pat thank-you. God certainly does care about even the smallest things and the tiniest of His creatures. How often has He alighted my eyes upon a wee spider or a moth caught in  a web for me to rescue it...also a tiny bird in  the gutter when my children and I returned home from seeing "David" the musical at church. The Lord guided me with "His eye" to  a sweet baby  hedgehog, rolled up in the road,I rescued her, she had hyperthermia and little Lucy Locket is now living on a farm in Stratford upon Avon. An anti-gun lobby farmer cares for these creatures until he can let them back into the fields.
Note., Baby Hedgehogs do not hibernate as do their elders and are entirely at the mercy of God.
I am a member of the British Hedgehog Preservation  Society.

"He knows my downsitting and my uprising and is acquainted with all my ways.  Such knowledge is too wonderful".  Psalm 139.

Raining here and very cold and dull skies. Must sing some praise songs and lift the spirits today.

Ria, my mother had an ingrowing toe nail on her big toe and had it (the nail) removed.  I know it can be very painful. I am praying for you dear sister.  :-*

See you all later.

Blessings.
Jenny.

Good Morning everyone. I posted am lengthy message last night but just thought I would say just a few words this morning. The weather is much milder up here in the frozen north this morning . It was only minus 8 celcius when I got up. A vertual heat wave. Well I must get ready to leave again on a trip and this time will be going to Tennessee and delivering about 140 miles from Ruth Anne's hometown. I always enjoy this trip as the senery is so beautiful down through there and the people are very friendly. If all goes well I should be back by the weekend so will be back online then.

God Bless Bonesy

Good morning everyone!!

Things are well at the Shuford house.  Travis and I are feeling better, we just sound like frogs and have that icky residual cough that takes weeks to get over.  :(

Ria --  Ouchy.  Anytime I read about toes, or anything like that, mine start hurting.  Best wishes to you.

Liz -- Mel Gibson funded the movie completely by himself (that is my understanding of it),  :o which makes it even more monumental, I think.  I played the music for Superstar in high school.  Some of the parents objected, saying it was sacreligious, but the director had a meeting and went over the movie with them.  We were only playing one song from it.  Kinda a catchy tune.

Hi Sarah!  (And mullet, and angel, and any of hte others who come in).  Hope school goes well.  Is bball season over yet, or do you still have some post-season games?

Bonesy -- If ever you are in Western North Carolina, let us know and Bernard and I will meet you for supper or something (obviously depending on what time it is and whether or not your schedule would give you time!)

Jenny -- I'll continue praying for Bernice.  Stay warm and dry!!

I know I've missed someone, somewhere, maybe on the next round.  :P

Thanks for the devotional Pat.  It is 6:30 A.M. and my cold has kept me from sleeping.  So what better place to come than here....

Dear Jenny, you are so filled with the Spirit...it comes right out and touches people.  Thanks for your kind words.  Andrew LLoyd Webber never wrote Jesus Christ Superstar from the position of a deeply religious believer.  He openly admits this and was asking questions.  In this case, 'Did Judas Iscariot have God on His Side?'  Yet so much of his music has such beauty and depth....Sometimes people are used of God without them realizing what is happening.

I have never been a 'closet' anything.  This is not popular with many Christians.  My hope is that the Mel Gibson movie will be used by God to stir the spirit of many non-believers.  Despite what may or may not have been intended by Gibson.  Certainly, he is not another Mother Theresa and we would do well to remember that he is another movie actor making a movie....whatever his true reason.  That is up to God to determine.  This person does not need Mel Gibson, Time Magazine, ABC or the world, to validate my Christian Faith.  Now, I am going to go and put on my wireless headphones and watch the interview from last night.  Amanda will soon be getting ready for school but do not want to wake the household...

God Bless.  Liz

Good Morning. Liz you are not the only OPEN fan of Bob Dylan. Me too! I don't think I m a closet anything either, I like all types of music, some Heavy Metal. I heard some great Classical/metal mix by the Trans Siberian Orchestra that I wounld't mind having. However on the same CD there is stuff that I don't like, too much metal.

Pat thank you for the devotional. always something to think about for the day.

Be back later going to read the other folders.

p.s. I just got a call from my client and she tells me that her place is flooded, she can;t get out and I can't get in. I will check with her later today and see if it is still flooded.

Hi everyone.  Very interesting discussion yesterday and again today.  It is still cloudy and chilly down this way but we are promised some 60 degree weather by the end of the week and I am ready.  Still haven't seen a snowflake, although the radio this morning said there were a few falling in the northern subburbs.

Ria, I had part of my big toenails removed a couple of years ago, not the complete toenails, and it wasn't too bad.  Had to wear a special shoes for awhile and then scandels for awhile longer.  Hope your procedure goes well and that the pain isn't too bad.  I also think you are doing a wonderful job with your writing in English.

I watched part of the Mel Gibson interview last night but fell asleep about half-way into it and woke up with the news being broadcast.  Of course, I had crawled into bed before the interview started.

Nards, I really like your new photo.  You appear much younger in it than in the one you were using.  You created some interesting discussion yesterday.  I agree with Jeanne Lee that I have my trust in the saving power of Jesus Christ and I am not going to worry about the minor things involving interpretations that separate denomination.  Neither am I willing to compromise my beliefs for the sake of unity of the churches.

Bonsey, good to see your postings and I hope you have a safe and good trip to Tennessee.  I can't imagine having to be on the road so much.  I used to do some traveling in my work life but never for long periods of time or continually.  I am thankful for all the truck drivers who keep our economy going and the food and other things delivered where they need to be when they need to be there.

Papa John, good to see your posting yesterday.  I think the walking is very good for us.  I do like to get it done early if possible so that I have the rest of the day available for other things.

I also like the music of Jesus Christ, Superstar, although I have never seen the play or movie.  I do have the old record albums and have it on my computer so hear some of the songs occasionally.

Welcome ANGEL_EYEZ.

Rachelle, good to see you posting again.  It sounds like you are one very busy lady.

Well there are lots of folks I haven't mentioned today but this is getting too long.  Have read all your postings and good to see each of you here.  Hope Janet has a good trip with Beth today and those that are suffering colds or flu or other aches and pains have a good day.

Well Karmat I read John your post and he has said he comes close to your area, so will give you a call...... I will let you know.  He will be going on trips to Commerce GA and will take I 40 to I25(?) to Spartan burg, then toward Atlanta..  He is unsure of the interstate numbers, and that is unusual for him! ! !

John is running alone this week, his trainee is staying home.

Jake has now a swollen hind leg.  This cancer is moving fast.  Check out the prayer requests for more details.  Pat when I find the disks would you post some pics of Jake for me?

I'm off, I have to get ready to drive him to work.

Love to all

I am back from watching the interview.  Yes, the movie is supposed to be financed by Mel Gibson.  Like Larry, I will never compromise my belief for the sake of unity.  Tho' do not feel a need to force them on anyone with another approach to religion.

Mel Gibson certainly has a knowledge of the Bible and what Jesus died for....but it is my opinion that he has made a movie that depicts his personal passion about Christ.  Our world is filled with violence...and violence does sell big at the box office.  The ego of Mel Gibson shines thro' loud and clear to this person and it does not seem to have been tempered by the gentleness of our Lord.  I will not go to see the movie as that sort of thing doesn't bring me closer to God.  Things that divide people are  not likely to have been inspired by the Holy Spirit.  So ends my discussion on the subject.

God Bless.  Liz

Probably I-40 to I-26 and then I-85.

Although I'm sure he's perfectly capable of figuring that out for himself :)

Tell him when he passes Exit 37 (in North Carolina) on I-40 that he is where I get ON that Interstate every day going to work, and then when he turns down I-26 and passes Exit 53 (old exit 22) that he is where I get OFF the Interstate every day as I go to work.  So who knows.  We may well cross paths on his trip and never even know it :)

Jerry and I are back from having breakfast with our friend from Minnesota.  I had met her before but Jerry just met her this morning.  Besides Cracker Barrel is a great place to eat, visit and do a little shopping besides.

Nards ~ Hey, man!  You are looking good!  Forgot to comment earlier but then I was in a rush!!

Rachelle ~ So great to see you posting!  I know we are busy but it is great to see you take some time to post a few words.

I am going to see "The Passion of the Christ".  I don't like violence.  I may have to shut my eyes and cover my ears with my hands but I want to be one that will up the ratings so that Hollywood will find out what type of shows John Q Public really wants to see....not all the garbage they try to force down our throats.  I, personally, think that Mel Gibson did a very good job in his interview.  I loved it when asked 'Who killed Jesus?" and without a second of hesitation, he said, "We did.  We all did."

Even before I have seen the movie, I will purchase the VHS or DVD of it when it comes out and I don't even have a DVD player!!!!

The Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want;
He makes me down to lie
In pastures green; he leadeth me
The quiet waters by.

My soul he doth restore again,
And me to walk doth make
Within the paths of righteousness,
E'en for his own name's sake.

Yea, though I walk in death's dark vale,
Yet will I fear no ill:
For thou art with me, and thy rod
And staff me comfort still.

My table thou hast furnished
In prsence of my foes;
My head thou dost with oil anoint
And my cup overflows.

Goodness and mercy all my life
Shall surely follow me;
And in God's house for evermore
My dwelling-place shall be.

Good Afternoon All..

Karmat~No WW didn't really work for me  :( But, I know that I need to find something that does work for me because I need to get rid of this weight-I know its not healthy for me..Just a personally choice for myself..I have found it harder this time to loose the weight. But, I know that the Lord will give me guidance and wisdom to get  through this.
Yes, I  have (Run) 3 online ministries..One is a private group called The Heart of a Mother-It consist of 10 ladies including me-it is private mainly because the original group closed due to some problems and the ladies wanted a private group.
The 2nd group I have is Christ Centered Mommies it is an open group and there are 6 ladies there..I do daily devotionals and Scriptures of the day-weekly prayer request. And it is a place for Christian Mommies to be able to come and be themselves and to be encouraged and build up in the Lord.
The Weight loss group is Called Temples for Christ-these are all at Yahoogroups.com
I would love to see you ladies that wanted to join.
ok-thats about it on those things-
I am still waiting for my computer to be fixed, the parts won't be in till tomorrow..We have finished school for the day-so now I just have to be a good wife and mommy and get other things done-like housework etc.
I have also signed up for more Psp lessons so I need to get those caught up.
Hope you all have a blessed day.
Hugs in Jesus
Rachelle

*PS my husband recorded the Mel Gibson interview and so I will watch it later.

I just got my week 2 PSP lessons sent in last night.  Now I'm going to try to get week 3 done.  I love working with PSP though.  Who are you doing your lessons with?

I know what you're talking about regarding the weight for sure! :o

It is exciting that you have started a Teen Site here on CP, Pat.  Would it be helpful to contact some of the existing Christian Teen sites and also some of the churches on the web, informing them about the New Christian site for Teens?  This is a wonderful opportunity for them to help one another...or be helped.  CP has spread by some of us being invited to pop in and check out what is happening....so those who went fishing did catch some fish!!  They ventured forth and cast a wide net....God Bless.  Liz

Hi Everyone.

I have read all the post from yesterday and today.  The discussions were very interesting.

I must however give you all the definition of Fundamentalist and Evangelicals.

A Fundamentalist is one who uses a tripod with their camera in a set position.

The Evangelicals use their hands and let the camera swing freely.

The snow has all gone in my neck of the woods.  I played golf yesterday.  I washed my dirty car and worked in my very small onion bed today.

That is all I have time for now, I must get ready for our annual Home Owners Association Meeting tonight.

Remember friends "Christians are not perfect they are just forgiven."

Boots I rather like your definition of the difference. By your definition one can be both. ???

Back from the Dr. and from Bea's place. The rain quit for aqhile and the sun came out. As I went to Arcata I noticed that the Mad River is way up.

I had an EKG, and am scheduled for the Mammogram and an Echocardiogram on March 2. I have a history of a murmur and MVP and haven't been tested in 20 years. I guess it is about time.

On to check the other folders.

Hi Everyone:

I saw the interview with Mel Gibson and Diane Sawyer
last night.   It was very good.   No matter what she said and tried to get him "off track"  he would not be.

I'm going out tonight with my team to talk to a Filipino couple about the Lord.   Please pray and I will report back later tonight.

Nards, I phoned John as soon as I read your post.  He was rerouted today and guess what he is going to Commerce GA!  Be on the lookout for a Canadian truck, White with green accents and the name Bakke's on the doors!  Honk loud and long he will get the message.  He won't have time to stop this time, but perhaps the next trip!  We both think this is so neat that we are getting to know people in the US.  Thanks.

Pat when are you going to VA with John?  Call and talk to him sometime!

Well time to get going, laundry to fold, and a rug to put down!

FOR SUCH A WORM AS I:  I remember reading about that hymn here a day or two ago, I think the song was even posted here....funny thing, today while on the road, I'm listening to a Greater Vision CD and what comes up, but "At the Cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light"  Another of the songs that I love to sing the bass part.

MEL GIBSON:  Pat Robertson said last night that Mel put up his own money ($20 Million.)  He also said that advance sales have already topped $35 Million and that this is unheard of with this type of film.

I don't know if any of you worried about Mel losing his money, but I did.  "Oh yea of little faith."

I do not like Diane Sawyer and I sure didn't like the way she tried to bait Mel with her questions.

He was Mister Cool when answering all those baited questions.....Good Show, Mate!

I liked his response to "Who killed Jesus?"  One thing he said was that there weren't any Norwegians there.

Then she tried to get something going about his Dad.  He said, "I love my Dad"....then when she persisted, he said.... "Don't go there Diane, I love my Dad."

This is atypical...maybe we disagree with a lifestyle or something that is done, but we still love the person.  Mel loves his Dad and that came out best of all.

Anyone with kids can attest to that....even grown kids disappoint us at times.  If we're honest enough, I'll bet we parents disappoint our kids as well!!!!!

Jenny..........

Long time no communicate.  Hello to you.  I have a question.  In the so-called "Superstar" movie, how do you handle "He's just a man"?  I was repulsed by Satan's production to sway the unsaved that Jesus Christ "Was just a man."  Never saw the movie and won't.  That song alone has helped to keep me away.  I also am sickened by there calling Jesus Christ a "Superstar."  Hollywood may call themselves stars, but Jesus Christ is the Messiah God Almighty.  This is what we should let the unsaved world know.
I don't mean to be argumentative at all Jenny, I love and respect you as a sister in the Lord.  I simply feel it necesary to stand-up for Christ among fellow believers.

Liz...........

I wanted to see the Gibson interview but missed it.  Did he say that the movie showed why Jesus was crucified?  I mean His dying in the cross for the sins of mankind and for their salvation?  I've given several sermons on the murder and torture of our Lord, and I always stressed the horrors of what He had to go through for me.  It was ugly, and I personally believe everyone should know just what He went through for us.  It may be just my opinion, but I believe the words "He died for me" falls short  when we tell this to the lost souls of this world.  I pray the movie does in fact tell why He died.  If it doesn't, I'm going to print the purpose of His dying (Man's salvation), and I'm going to stand at the door when the people leave the theater, and I'm going to pass them out.

Possibly you should have addressed that question to me Lee.  I was the one who started the subject.  In reply:  When I saw Jesus Christ Superstar, I was not a Christian...at least not a 'born again Christian.'  I had come through a terrible time in my life and was a witness to terrible hypocrisy by people who claimed to be that very thing.  My late sister-in-law literally dragged me to the theatre.  For some reason still unknown to me, I cried all thro' the movie, so moved by the beauty of the music...not the words.  So moved by the story...not the perfection of the script.  Something happened that made me long to learn more....which I have been doing ever since.  I became a 'born again Christian' and have searched for deeper truth since.  As stated before in my post....God will use many ways to lead people to truth.  That is why I hope he will use Mel Gibson's movie to lead other non-believers to the Lord.  Not because I feel that we need to dwell on the agony of Christ.  If that is what is needed to touch people today, possibly that is because we live with violence everywhere and it is best understood in this time and place.  To me that is very sad.  I prefer to dwell in a light place, on the love and teachings of Christ.  Not on the sadness and agony of his death on the cross.  To be aware of it, yes.  To dwell on it, no.

It is not my intention to offend anyone and I am sorry if stating my opinion has done so.  Have learned that there is much that exists beneath the correct words and pat answers that many give today.  So have learned to examine and look for both the good and bad.  God Bless.

A wonderful Christian (now) singer was in that movie, I'm not sure but I think he played Jesus Christ. His name is Jeff Fenholt. His testimoy of his salvation is incredible. He was also in the group Black Sabbath  as was Ozzy Osborne. He has been on the TBN trips to Russia and on TBN lots of times.

At the Cross  (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/at-the-cross.mid)
(Click to hear music)

There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all men. 1 Timothy 2:5-6

Words: Isaac Watts, Hymns and Spiritual Songs, 1707; Ralph E. Hudson wrote the refrain in 1885.
Music: "Martyrdom," Hugh Wilson, 1800

Alas! and did my Savior bleed
And did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For such a worm as I?

Refrain
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

Thy body slain, sweet Jesus, Thine—
And bathed in its own blood—
While the firm mark of wrath divine,
His Soul in anguish stood.

Refrain

Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

Refrain

Well might the sun in darkness hide
And shut his glories in,
When Christ, the mighty Maker died,
For man the creature's sin.

Refrain

Thus might I hide my blushing face
While His dear cross appears,
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
And melt my eyes to tears.

Refrain

But drops of grief can ne'er repay
The debt of love I owe:
Here, Lord, I give my self away
'Tis all that I can do.

Refrain

Thank you Sonja & Judy M   I like this new picture of me too.

Eddie, I agree with you.  It is awful when an interviewer gets carried away with the past and even if a person confesses to the past, they still want to delve into all the dirt and bring it out in the open.  Mel Gibson handled it very well.  He is big enough that he didn't allow Dianne Sawyer to walk over him.

I heard on the secular radio station here in Toronto that "this movie could revolutionalize the world"

But to the exciting part.    My team went out with EE and we had 3 SALVATIONS IN ONE HOUSE!   Wow.   Praise God.   Now for the follow up.

Hi, Kids!  I am just stopping by to tell you we made it home okay.  It was a long and stressful day.  The Dr. still thinks Beth may have thyroid cancer, and that the nodules from the Neurofibromatosis are causing her almost constant diarrhea.  She fell this morning so was in pain all day from that; her back hurts a lot anyway.  They did blood tests and another sonogram of her thyroid, and made another appointment with another doctor (GI) for a colonoscopy.  :-\ :'(

Anyway, I am beat, and am going to bed now.  Good to read all your posts and I'm sure my world will look brighter in the morning.

Cruxifiction:  I think it was Focus on the Family's Dr Dobson that had an article in the monthly magazine about the cruxifiction and what takes place in the body during it.

It is a cruel cruel thing that takes place and it causes GREAT pain to the person.  The report was based on a doctors report of what happens when the body shuts down.  The ends result is the person dies from apxyhiation after having their legs broken, because the diapragm can no longer expand and contract.

HOW DID I PUT THIS ALL IN PERSPECTIVE:
I have a bad back and have had it since I was, well,  a long time.  One Sunday my wife and I were at the altar praying and it was a long prayer.

Afterwards, my wife asked me how I stood it as she knew I was in great pain that morning. I told her "While it was hurting, I thought of how long Jesus hung on the cross and that made it bearable for me."

I don't mean to bring honor to myself, but perhaps it will help someone else deal with their pain.
