Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Bonesy, if you went through Nashville on I-24 either coming or going, you could have probably thrown a rock really hard and hit my roof!

I'm just too tired to talk tonight, but at least could come and listen to the conversation for the first time in several days.

Ruth Ann
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

JudyB

Ruth Ann, That is so interesting.  He will need a way to get in touch with you while he is on the road.  This trip he is pushing and won't have time to stop.  Perhaps the next time?

I have posted a prayer request for Bonnie, and quoted her words.  Please check it out?

I am very tired tonight, will be going to bed soon.

Night all

Evening everyone.  We just got done with dinner.  We had tuna sandwiches.  mmm... good

We went to the walmart and bought some razors and shaving cream for Troy.  He has to shave his legs and stuff.  Poor guy is going to itch in about 3 days.

< soni wonders if the hair on his legs will grow as fast as the hair on womens legs.>  :-\

Any way, though I would bop in here and say, "hi".

Great quote and no your not the only guy on here.  Us women are just more talkative.  ;D

What is your name?

Judy McKenna

Regarding the Mel Gibson movie.  I will probably go see it, just to see what all the hype is about.

as far as J.C. superstar... I would never go to see that... just the title to me is sacreligious. (this is my opinion).

I think Lee put it well, and far better than how I could word it.

A very warm welcome to our new members!

I have missed a couple of days., so I must go back and see what all you have been doing.

Ruthie....love that new photo of you!

Rachelle:  I have missed you!!

Soni: Oops - I mean't to ask... how is Zachary doing?

He is doing better.  No fever now. But still stuffing and coughing.  I just hope he gets over it quickly.  The last time he had a cold it lasted a month and a half.  At least its not the flu.

Thanks, Judy Mc. (hug)

At the Cross
(Click to hear music)

There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all men. 1 Timothy 2:5-6

Words: Isaac Watts, Hymns and Spiritual Songs, 1707; Ralph E. Hudson wrote the refrain in 1885.
Music: "Martyrdom," Hugh Wilson, 1800

Alas! and did my Savior bleed
And did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For such a worm as I?

Refrain
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

Thy body slain, sweet Jesus, Thine—
And bathed in its own blood—
While the firm mark of wrath divine,
His Soul in anguish stood.

Refrain

Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

Refrain

Well might the sun in darkness hide
And shut his glories in,
When Christ, the mighty Maker died,
For man the creature's sin.

Refrain

Thus might I hide my blushing face
While His dear cross appears,
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
And melt my eyes to tears.

Refrain

But drops of grief can ne'er repay
The debt of love I owe:
Here, Lord, I give my self away
'Tis all that I can do.

Refrain

And speaking of faces, I've noticed some great new pictures on the posts lately.  Way to go!  You're going to have to suffer a while longer with mine though.  :o

Angel, I'm glad your grandmother got you to join us.  Hope you enjoy the teen room.

We're warming up a little around here, but probably not for long.  We'll surely appreciate spring.  (What's spring? ;D )

Thank you Sonja & Judy M   I like this new picture of me too.

Eddie, I agree with you.  It is awful when an interviewer gets carried away with the past and even if a person confesses to the past, they still want to delve into all the dirt and bring it out in the open.  Mel Gibson handled it very well.  He is big enough that he didn't allow Dianne Sawyer to walk over him.

I heard on the secular radio station here in Toronto that "this movie could revolutionalize the world"

But to the exciting part.    My team went out with EE and we had 3 SALVATIONS IN ONE HOUSE!   Wow.   Praise God.   Now for the follow up.
The Lord is my light and my salvation Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Ps. 27:1

Janet

Hi, Kids!  I am just stopping by to tell you we made it home okay.  It was a long and stressful day.  The Dr. still thinks Beth may have thyroid cancer, and that the nodules from the Neurofibromatosis are causing her almost constant diarrhea.  She fell this morning so was in pain all day from that; her back hurts a lot anyway.  They did blood tests and another sonogram of her thyroid, and made another appointment with another doctor (GI) for a colonoscopy.  :-\ :'(

Anyway, I am beat, and am going to bed now.  Good to read all your posts and I'm sure my world will look brighter in the morning.

Cruxifiction:  I think it was Focus on the Family's Dr Dobson that had an article in the monthly magazine about the cruxifiction and what takes place in the body during it.

It is a cruel cruel thing that takes place and it causes GREAT pain to the person.  The report was based on a doctors report of what happens when the body shuts down.  The ends result is the person dies from apxyhiation after having their legs broken, because the diapragm can no longer expand and contract.

HOW DID I PUT THIS ALL IN PERSPECTIVE:
I have a bad back and have had it since I was, well,  a long time.  One Sunday my wife and I were at the altar praying and it was a long prayer.

Afterwards, my wife asked me how I stood it as she knew I was in great pain that morning. I told her "While it was hurting, I thought of how long Jesus hung on the cross and that made it bearable for me."

I don't mean to bring honor to myself, but perhaps it will help someone else deal with their pain.
