Morning Devotional...

As He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy...Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 Peter 1:15-16

When our Lord taught His disciples to pray, He said, "When ye pray say, Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name."

Even in this basic Christian activity, there was an immediate reminder of the holiness of the Father.

We need to keep this in our thoughts--God is holy.

As believers we are called by the One who is holy and therefore we are called unto holiness.

It is a privilege that we have been given; it is a duty we must fulfill.
--Reg. L. Jordan

Holy as Thou, O Lord, is none!
Thy holiness we own;
A drop of that unbounded sea is ours,
a drop derived from Thee.
And when Thy purity we share,
Thy only glory we declare;
And, humbled into nothing,
own holy and pure is God alone.

I'm off to bed folks.  Glad you enjoyed dance soni.  I did an exercise dvd today that had "coordinated movements" in it.  It wasn't dance, really, just exercise moving to a tempo.  It's a really good thing I didn't dream of being a dancer!

<karmat, which means "she with no rhythm" is off to bed now.>

8 a.m. England.

Good Morning on this nice, crisp sunny morning. Praise God!

Ria Thinking of you and praying for you for all to go well re your operation today.  See you soon  ;)

Yes Pat, We must always remember Our God is a "Holy" God. He made us for His Glory, not the other way around.

"I beseach you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service...
For I say through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think himself too highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one of us a measure of faith.

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
so we being many, are one Body in Christ and individually members of one another.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them......."

Romans 12:1-6 abrgd.NKJV.

God Bless.
Jenny.

Marilyn,

I just got through reading yesterday's posts and found your response to the "pillow-talks", thought if I post under "yesterday", you are less likely to see this...

I had a buckwheat pillow in the US and paid $25.00 for it then, wondered what they would go for now and in search for it, on Google, I found this site.

Bedding Bed Pillows

http://www.ihomedeals.com/Bedding/Bedding-Bed-Pillows.shtml

Am not familiar with E-Bay, but maybe some of you are and can advise whether or not it would be worth bidding for a pillow of choice. What a price!

Am a bit out of context here with all of this, hope you forgive me and maybe we all can aid Marilyn, or anyone else, in getting a good night's rest.  A pillow can make a difference. :D

God bless.

Ria is having a rest.  She has a lot of pain now...So that's why she isn't here Judy...

Hope John is doing o.k. on his run.  It would be lovely if he could see Karma or Ruth Ann on his travels. d.v.

Have just finished lunch over here and am going to go out for the proverbial ride in a mo...Just thought I'd pop in to see you.

Judy, when is Bonesy going to be in our area?  Today, tomorrow, or when?  Sadly, I don't have any free time at all until maybe Sunday afternoon, and I'm sure he'll be long gone by then.

Good Morning Everyone,

I was in a rush this morning, when my daughter Jane called me upstairs.  I walked into her room a little annoyed at be called.  "Listen to the radio Papa" she said, Amazing Love was playing.  we sat together listening to the beautiful words.  It was a moment that I shared with Jane that I will never forget.

Amazing Love    (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/amazinglove.mid)
(Click to hear music)

My Lord what love is this?
That paid so dearly
That I, the guilty one, may go free.

Chorus:
Amazing love, oh what sacrifice
The Son of God, given for me
My debt He paid, and my death He died
That I, might live.
That I, might live.

And so, they watched Him die
Despised and rejected
But oh, the blood He shed, flowed for me.

And now, this love of Christ
Will flow, like rivers
Come wash, your guilt away,
And live again.

OR this one?

At least we'll have some joyous singing in here today!

And Can it Be That I Should Gain[/u] (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/andCanItBe.mid)
(Click to hear music]

Suddenly there was a great earthquake,
so that the foundations of the prison were shaken;
and immediately all the doors were opened
and everyone's chains were loosed.
Acts 19:26

Words: Charles Wesley, Psalms and Hymns, 1738.
Music: "Sagina," Thomas Campbell, 1835

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior's blood!
Died He for me who caused His pain!
For me who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

'Tis mystery all: th'Immortal dies!
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.
'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left His Father's throne above
(so free, so infinite His grace!),
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam's helpless race.
'Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!
'Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature's night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray;
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th'eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach th'eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Hi everyone.  I am also thinking of Ria today and hope the pain is not too bad.

Frazier, that is indeed a memorable moment and the substance of a great memory for the years ahead.

JudyB, wish I could share some of our good weather with you today.  We are suppose to get to 63 today and the sun is shining brightly.  Yesterday was also a beautiful day.

Mullet, sorry I didn't get to your voting link until just now so wasn't able to participate.  Glad you were able to sleep last night.

Margit, I think I need to look into that pillow.  I have had a sore neck for weeks now.  I do have a contour pillow but don't think it is the best but it does support my neck.  I don't think I had ever heard of a buckwheat pillow before.

Karma, I have a couple of exercise video's, one of them done by Richard Simmons for older folks.  It has been a long time since I used them.

Sonja, it sounds like you have a wonderful time in your dance activities.  Will we be seeing some pictures of the new costumes and you in the wig?

Pat, thanks for the devotional thought today.

Ruthie, it sounds like your EE team is doing wonderful work for the Lord.

Guess I had better get busy and get some things done here as was gone all day yesterday.

ONE DAY after a nasty streak of bad weather, I asked my teenage son to take our dog out for a long walk after school. When I came home from work, I found my son stretched out on the recliner. He had leash in hand, while the dog trotted happily away on the treadmill!

HAHAHAHA! Janet!  Good one.  How's Beth?

Hi Jenny!   How's the weather where you are?   Have you had your groceries delivered this week?

Hi Mullet!  Glad you enjoyed the devotion sweetie.

Good Morning to all who will still come in.

Scott Fraser, we'll be looking forward to hearing from you as to what "Amazing Love" you listened to.  ;D

Our new member, Andrew, is my grandson.  He was just about to post a message last night in the Teen Room when he was called to go to bed so I'm not entirely sure how much time he will be able to spend here as they share the computer with two adults and four kids and they are on dial-up!!  :o

Hey there, Zachery!  (it is laugh.  ;))  I'm glad you got a laugh out of it.  I really believe that humor is the oil that helps us not to wear out so fast.  I love reading good clean jokes and even the comics, when I get hold of a newspaper that has them. ;D ;D

Troy, how is the swimming going?  I was v-e-r-y slow when I went back to the pool on Monday after about 10 days' absence.  I have taken Abby the past two days.  I really need the exercise, feel so much better for doing it.  Good luck with your upcoming meets!

Fraser, those precious moments are never on a timetable, are they?  Thanks for the reminder to always "take time to smell the roses."  Just a tiny moment of time can mean so much!

Etta Sue, sorry you lost your posts. :-\  That can be so frustrating!  Come on back and try again.

Ruthie and Pat, thank you for your continuing prayers for Beth.  And Marilyn, Al, Jenny,...........all of you!  Please continue to pray re her disability claim with the SS Admin.

Darrel had a service call in Scott City today (about 1 1/2 hours north of here) and I have painting class this afternoon.

I still haven't found a solution to my camera/computer problem. :'( :'(  And I have some great ones on there to share, too. :-[ :'(

I need to get busy around here, but will be back later.

Larry John is the one I envy.  I wish I could be with him to experience the weather in the south.  I love driving semi.  God has other plans for me just now, but the longing is still there.

Ria we are all praying for you.  Amazing isn't it that the smallest part of our body can cause so much grief.  Ria's toe and Marilyn's hangnail.  Kinda proog that even in the kingdom the smallest or seemingly insignificant person has a place.  When one of us is hurting we all hurt.  Papa John?  Romans 12 ? ?

Thankyou all for praying god to give me strength in the next tough months.  WE are already seeing a changing of the guard  here,  Bruno is picking up the roll of Chief.

I'm forgiven
Because You were forsaken
I'm accepted
You were condemned
I'm alive and well
Your Spirit lives within me
Because You died and rose again

Amazing Love, how can it be
That You my King would die for me
Amazing Love, I know it's true
And it's my joy to honor you,
In all I do, I honor you.

You are my King,
You are my King,
You are my King,
Jesus, You are my King.

Amazing Love, how can it be...

Hey all y'all, thanks for your concern for my undignified fall on Tuesday.  The leg still stiffens up some, but it is definitely some better today.  Nothing broken, just hyperextended in umpteen directions.  If it was like a rubber band, it would just snap back to normal.  That would be a snap!
But praise our Lord, I'm getting back to normal.

8.20 p.m. U.K.

Dear Pat.

It is freezing here today and the wind is so icy.  I went for a short ride to the post box and was so glad to get home again.  ...I am still testing the waters.

My shopping was delivered by Iceland Home Shopping service this morning. It is so nice to have a bit of choice again, we were running very low.......No my shopping does not come from the country of Iceland, although it's cold enough here tonight. The company is called "Iceland". Originally they sold only freezers and freezer food but these days they provide more lines and I am able to purchase frozen and tinned foods and a good supply of fresh fruit and vegetables from them....Brilliant, Yes?

Chris has been at home today 'tonsils' again...We are watching the 2nd part of a T.V. docu/Drama about Dunkirk tonight.  Pat as you can imagine Chris is enjoying this.

Pastor Al.  I am glad you are improving. I thought you were tea/total!!! Take care, we need you on C.P.

Ria You were supposed to be resting! Hope you sleep well tonight, although it will be painful I am sure.  Prayers for you this night dear. God bless sister. Love you.  :-*

Janet, I will 'roll' this burden onto the Lord. He will work it out. He will work it out.  He will work it out.

Zach
How nice for Andrew to join you in the Teen room...and I thought you had those girls all to yourself!  ;)

God Bless all of you
See you soon...
Jenny.

Pat.

I feel for your family...

We are Dial-up 24/7.  Luckily there's only me and Chris but sometimes when he's home it can be difficult. He's usually very busy on here with his War sites and medals. Don't know how we'd cope if there were more of us.
Wish I could afford Broadband., but I do thank God for what we have here.

Jenny  ;)

My - you were a "chatty bunch" the last couple of days. I had too much to do around here., so didn't get in at all.

One annoying thing.... I was in the middle of ironing, when suddenly the iron went "cold" :-\.  So, off to Sears I went, to purchase a new iron.  Finally though, by last evening, I got the ironing all done up.  So...what ahead of me for tomorrow....another laundry hamper of clothes that need laundering.

Oh my... am I ever caught up..... I don't think so...LOL :D

QuoteAs believers we are called by the One who is holy and therefore we are called unto holiness [/color]

Pat, a good devotion and a lesson we should remember every day.

Heb 12:14-16
14   Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.[/b]
15   See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
16   See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.  (NIV)

We who have been saved by the grace of God should remember God wants us to be like Him.  "But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." 1 Pet 1:15-16 (NIV)

Zachary, I don't know what we are supposed to be voting for.  I will vote for you.  Sorry you didn't sleep well last night.

Jenny, I'm glad you had a nice crisp sunny morning today.  We had the same thing.  Cornelia and I are getting ready to take a walk in the neighborhood.  The doctor wants me to walk every day and I do most days.

Nards, I like your new picture.  I didn't see from the first picture that you are a red head.

Fraser, enjoy those moments with your daughter.   We have four daughters and four granddaughters.  They are all precious.

Etta Sue, sorry you lost some posts.  I wonder where they go.

Al, I am glad you are making improvement.  Take care of yourself.

The doctor wants me to walk every day.  For the last three days we have had nice weather and I have walked my mile each day.

I hope you all have a good rest this evening.

Tomorrow night and into Saturday they say we'll get mixed rain and snow showers.  Oh well, it is only February.   :-\

Well I am going to check prayers and then take a shower and problbly won't be back on tonight, Trying not to spend so much time here don't want to start hurting again.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
There's just something about that name
Master, Saviour, Jesus
Like the fragrance after the rain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Let all Heaven and Earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms
Will all pass away
But there's something about that Name.

We had the longest evening.  We had 4 paper routes to do and it took us forever.  <sigh> Why don't people put their house number on their house????

Zachery and I spent about an hour in the emergency room and found out he has strep throat.  Poor little guy is really sick.  Has a fever again. We got him some meds and now he is in bed for a couple of days.

I got the others to bed and will be heading there myself in a few.  <yawn>

Great songs Pat.  I wonder what song it was that Fraser had listened to with his daughter. ??

I will talk with you all tomorrow.

Oh, I'm so sorry, Sarah, that you lost.  What in the world are you going to do with your time now?  Let us know how the boys did.

Soni, please give Zac a hug for me.  He's very special to us and I don't like to hear of him so ill.

I hope that you got lots of hugs tonight, Janet, from Abby.

For any interested in discussing Isaiah, Lee has  opened a topic in the Manna for the Soul area.

Ruthie has some trouble with her eyes and needs some extra prayer as well.  She'll keep us informed.  Praying for you, cuz!

Now, it's time to lock the door and open the next one.  I had such a nice chat with both Pinkie and Soni on the Instant Message tonight that I'm very late and so it's a repeat.  I do pray that you'll receive a blessing as I did when looking it up to post.
